I get no one else is making trades but there aren’t a lot of contenders out there with the best offense in baseball and three starters who should absolutely not be in the rotation while needing to play like .650 ball if we want any chance at the bye so maybe go and make the market work for you.

Now just let him throw 100 pitches now regardless. I suspect at least another phantom il is coming

Lmao,  theres no way they trot this guy out there again,  imagine the hitters taking the field knowing games are loss with him on the mound

There is absolutely no acceptable reason Jameson Taillon is on this roster. Anyone from Iowa can come up and give up home runs at a MLB record rate.

Taillon, time to go to the pen. I was fine with keeping him for a few starts after being injured, but it’s Assad’s spot now.

I think they release him. He can’t be in the pen.

He has to be cut. There are no other options

Not with the injuries the Cubs have had. They still need a long man in blowouts.

At this point Taillon has to pitch another inning or two for the team.

You make him throw 100 pitches no matter what...

They start a big 4 game series with the Cardinals tomorrow, a team chasing them for a playoff spot. They cant burn through the bullpen now, why i said yesterday they wasted Assad with an 11 run lead, he could of given them 3-4 innings today to save the pen.

It's wild considering how many position players we've seen pitch recently that Taillon is seemingly less effective than any of them.

Sometimes teams try to cover and do the phantom il thing to keep good clubhouse guys like Taillon around , but tougher to do these days . MLB is on top of those things now

They have Milner and Cabrera coming back soon. Taillon can’t just be cut.
