It's not hard to take his logic to the conclusion of anyone who ever wore a number is having their NIL rights infringed if it's given to another player. It has no chance of holding up.

Am I the only one not thrilled with the replay overturn? I'm so tired of being told that there has to be clear evidence to overturn and then calls get overturned based on "well, it sorta looked like it bounced, who cares if there's no view of it hitting the ground or all"

I'm not remotely gonna go panic mode on this sample size but Lord knows it would fit the Cubs MO to again pay up for a reliever who immediately goes in the tank

Bryant was a net positive on defense, according to fWAR, each of his first 3 years. That doesn't account for which position he was playing, but his best defensive WAR rating was 2016 - rated slightly higher, in fact, than Lowell did in 2007 - so that year, at least, I think we can assume he was legitimately good at 3B.

It was really weird, the umpires at first said because Venable came out the pitcher had to face one more batter then be removed and Stephen Vogt then came out and was basically "uh that's not the rule fellas" and the umps talked it over and then made him leave immediately
