    I'm gonna need Pat and Boog to stop syncing up their days off. Having to choose between Cohen and Zaidman is cruel.

    If you don't count David Peterson, because he wouldn't be on it but for all the injuries, 11 of the Cubs' 9 starters and top 8 relievers (17 total) on their MLB.com depth chart are currently on the injured list. Doesn't count Boyd having been on the IL twice.

    I kind of hope they do, I want to see MLB and the pro-salary cap crowd explain why we have to nuke the 2027 season so the poor small market teams can have a chance right after the Brewers win the pennant

    I flat out refuse to believe the ball got hit that hard, that looked like it was off the end of the bat and went to the opposite field

    Had the game on for like 4 pitches before Sal Frelick got a hit on a pitch at his nose. These guys are the most annoying bunch of players

    Good lord, even when the Cubs are atrocious like the Mets are now you can rarely get in the park for less than 4 times that.

    They are really poisoning the well by presenting utterly absurd proposals. I know you start with your wish list in negotiation and work your way from there, but by leading with such transparent garbage, I have to think they're emboldening some in the union who might have been a bit more pliable to say 'horsefeathers off' to their cosmetic givebacks that will come later.

    Regarding the being outhomered by 4+ discussed earlier, I believe Boog said at some point that the Cubs are 1 and some very large number (60 or so?) going back a while when that happens, so it is not unprecedented
