  1. The stoppable force that is Cooper Rush meets the movable object that is Carolina's defense. A fascinating sickos matchup
  2. All 4 NFC South teams lost yesterday. The NFL isn't always predictable, but once in a while it is.
  3. Weird scheduling quirk - this is Miami's 3rd straight game not on a Saturday to start the season. They'll finally play on a Saturday in week 4 - against Central Michigan.

  5. I'm surprised OSU dropped that far. I'd probably have put them 3, behind Georgia. But they'll get their chance to climb back up soon with @ Iowa (who's probably not good but still) and @ Indiana over the next several weeks
  6. Stayed out of this thread all week but jumping in to say you're welcome, again, for revitalizing your entire franchise with a stupid trade
  7. On the contrary, I'm enjoying the fruits of what happens when you hand your franchise to Deshaun Watson
  8. I didn't actually watch the game but it sounds like the OU offense is exactly the train wreck it was the entire second half of last year, so that helped too
  9. I wonder what could have possibly happened that led to going from 'only the Friday night games that are either total mismatches or involve exclusively crappy teams' to this
  10. That's interesting. The only ways I have gotten immediately fired were by either declaring MLB a Nazi organization or for calling for or directly threatening some sort of violent crime. Even when I announced that I'd had a threesome with the two media members the game randomly chose to be the avatars, I was able to go forward.
  11. I swear if these horsefeatherss don't win the World Series and then their fans spend the next several months bitching about a salary cap I'm going to lose it.
  12. So close to a game without the bullpen pissing us off

  14. A basketball-first UM fan? Interesting. I remember when ND basketball briefly looked like they might actually do it in 2015 and thinking it would feel a bit weird after years desperately thirsting for an ND football title if hoops snuck in the side door and beat them to it. Given MBB's performance since, I won't need to worry about that particular scenario anymore.
  15. Wrong audience for this sentiment, granted, but Lambeau Field is fantastic. What an experience.
  16. https://x.com/FauxPelini/status/2096442410188280060
  17. The official explanation is apparently that there's a double secret clock not synced to what everyone else sees that said there was time left. https://x.com/bigten/status/2096460445213217097
  18. Conferences paying officials has resulted in many many hilariously obvious (to me) examples of calls that have no real explanation besides corruption, but that was about as egregious an example as I've ever seen. There's just no acceptable explanation for that replay decision that doesn't start with the fact that the official's paycheck came from a body that had an obvious financial incentive for one side to win.
  19. Junk and Gusto might be the best combination of back to back starting pitcher names in recent history
  20. I've been a huge fan of his work on college basketball. I doubt it's possible to get him full time but I think he'd be a fabulous partner for Amin.
  21. I have no idea if this is true but I saw multiple people on Twitter alluding to Haliburton having had an invitation to throw the first pitch in Milwaukee (he's from Wisconsin I think) rescinded after the Pacers beat the Bucks in the playoffs. If there's any truth to that, yeah, I'd be talking my horsefeathers too, because that's dumb as hell.
  22. Those a-holes are going to win 105 games and bitch-slap everyone else in the division again and I'm still going to have to listen to morons tell me for 6 straight months that they can't compete so we need a salary cap.
  23. And on top of that, he's injured, so let's cycle in another terrible arm tomorrow
  24. Why the horsefeathers horsefeathers did Webb throw that ball. Good lord, stop playing stupid.
