  1. Of course Swanson strikes out when any of his other 3 results would've driven in the run
  2. That was an atrocious job by Pratt. Please get one more out
  3. Sure, the pitchers are hogging all the fun, let's start injuring hitters
  4. That's how it'll play out but that would be some serious 4D chess by Counsell. It's not like Shaw is slow
  5. Shaw getting pinch hit for here is a bit curious unless he's hurt
  6. If we can get to extras maybe they'll throw enough wild pitches for the Cubs to win
  7. I doubt there's anyone they could've put in that wouldn't have drawn an audible "oh boy, " but Thielbar is terrifying these days
  8. We have that too but that's because they're the only 3 left
  9. Not the worst outcome there for Milwaukee to set up a potential double play. Hopefully Amaya can get one in the air. Or does he get pinch hit for?
  10. Good lord Bregman. On top of everything else, he's ridiculously slow
  11. Well, inasmuch as he doesn't go wildly chasing. But yes, he doesn't seem to have anything timed up
  12. He's still pretty good at controlling the zone but other than that displays essentially zero attributes of a good hitter anymore
  13. This Bregman RISP thing is gonna regress eventually, why not start now
  14. I'm gonna need Pat and Boog to stop syncing up their days off. Having to choose between Cohen and Zaidman is cruel.
  15. If you don't count David Peterson, because he wouldn't be on it but for all the injuries, 11 of the Cubs' 9 starters and top 8 relievers (17 total) on their MLB.com depth chart are currently on the injured list. Doesn't count Boyd having been on the IL twice.
  16. I kind of hope they do, I want to see MLB and the pro-salary cap crowd explain why we have to nuke the 2027 season so the poor small market teams can have a chance right after the Brewers win the pennant
