I assume the Cubs will get another hit with RISP at some point in the future. Whether that takes place in 2026 or not? Open question

That was pretty great work from Busch and Gausman. Looked like Gausman was shaking his hand, I assume/hope nothing to worry about.

Well can't say Seiya didn't give him a shot, that was a 7-pitch AB I think

Absolutely atrocious job from Nico Hoerner there. Good lord.

I have a friend who's a Bucs fan and loathes Winston on moral grounds and outside of when the team won the Super Bowl I don't think he's ever been happier than when Winston threw that pick-6 to go 30-30. An all-timer.

It might not matter but I'm not sure why they wouldn't also move the Saturday game earlier if they're going to move games around anyway. Seems like the weather only gets worse as the weekend progresses.

Basically no one on this team is good at bunting except the people you don't want bunting (PCA), and Ian Happ, who notwithstanding his clutch hit last night is not generally a guy I want up with a guy on third and one out, was on deck. I was against the bunt regardless of result.

Which is why I blame Counsell more for that. People here don't like Shaw and I'm with that, but if he sucks at bunting, don't tell him to bunt. His chances of getting a hit, or even of making weak enough contact that it functioned as a bunt, were significantly higher than a successful bunt given what we've seen from him bunting.

Maybe any roster

Edward Cabrera still has no damn clue where the ball is going

These horsefeathers try hards. So annoying

Who the hell are these people and why do they all throw 100 damn miles an hour

Setting up for PCA to do it in the 11th

Why the hell even bunt with Shaw if he's that bad at it

Didn't even get to finish my post about Shaw and Happ back to back in this spot being a disaster 😂

That was frankly a pathetic drop by the catcher, that has to be E2

GVSU covered this line by a point, BTW.

No home runs, he's not a Cub yet

Someone replied that apparently Fergie Jenkins' 1971 season was actually worth 11.2 WAR, pitching and hitting combined. But still... Insane.

I have work to do but kept the game on another 10 minutes just to watch PCA bat

The stoppable force that is Cooper Rush meets the movable object that is Carolina's defense. A fascinating sickos matchup

All 4 NFC South teams lost yesterday. The NFL isn't always predictable, but once in a while it is.

Weird scheduling quirk - this is Miami's 3rd straight game not on a Saturday to start the season. They'll finally play on a Saturday in week 4 - against Central Michigan.
