  1. As I stated earlier in this thread, I’m pretty dialed in on Ole Miss. Cade is awesome. Love everything about the kid, but something seems off with him currently. He’s gotten shelled his last 2 starts. He left a start earlier in the season after sailing two pitches. MRI came back clean and it was called “shoulder inflammation.” He missed like 2 starts and came back and looked normal, but now I’m not sure if it’s injury, fatigue, or what… but it doesn’t look right. I’ll be interested to see how he looks in the regionals next weekend. He will be on around 14 days rest by the time he touches a mound again.
  2. If Wiggins is a good enough headliner to get a TORP, I’d do it in a heartbeat. Love Wiggins upside, but I’m afraid there’s always going to be some type of injury that constantly brings him back down.
  3. Was thinking the same. Makes it easier to move Peralta also
  4. Make that 6 innings / 0 runs / 1 BB / 13 strikeouts for Rabe against Alabama. Striking out Justin Lebron 2x tonight as well. Just a fun name to watch not many are talking about…. yet
  5. Another Ole Miss pitcher to keep an eye on is Taylor Rabe. He is really coming on. It’s 96-98. I’ve seen him hit 99 this season as well. Very polished pitcher. Changeup, cutter, slider. He doesn’t walk people (8 walks in 56 innings this year). He’s a late bloomer, but really flashing. He’s currently pitching against Alabama tonight: 5 IP / 0 hits / 0 runs / 1 BB / 11 K’s. That’s coming off a 14 strikeout performance against Texas A&M last weekend. He did have one inning that got away from him last weekend, but he’s special. 2 years ago Ole Miss hired Joel Mangrum from the Guardians organization to be their pitching coach and the results are phenomenal. As somebody that is an Ole Miss season ticket holder, I’ve witnessed it first hand. He’s really getting results in a short period of time.
  6. Cabrera has electric stuff. Just feels like with the success we’ve had developing pitching over the last several years, they figure out how to put it all together.
  7. This is funny lmao
  8. Yeah you go get a Kyle Tucker for moments like that and he let us down with the season on the line. Whispers: hopefully this is a reverse jinx and he comes up with a major hit later
  9. Feels like ballgame. 1st and 2nd no outs and 3-4-5 up and nothing in a win or go home game. Unbelievable…
  10. This choke job is crazyyyyy. I’m not even mad at the L’s anymore. I’m accustomed to it under Jed. Maybe get Mo back up here. Haven’t had a spark since his big hit it don’t feel like. Try Caissie. Do something. Or just keep running out the same lineup over and over that’s been in a funk for 2 months now.
  11. I’m just pointing out that the opportunity is there. We will see what they do with it
  12. Yeah. It’s all up to the Cubs to handle business though. Time to wake the horsefeathers up. They play Milwaukee 5 straight games at home coming up. They’ve pissed away their lead and they have a prime opportunity to make it back up in one series. Won’t happen playing like this though obviously
  13. Annoying 2 months of baseball. 27-25 over the last 2 months. Don’t really care why we are losing specific games as much as it’s happening too often. You would think that all your big bats wouldn’t slump at the same time and for such an expanded period of time. I know Kyle’s slump is better than most people’s slumps, but like come on… it’s time to start turning it around at some point. PCA has taken some atrocious AB’s lately. Seiya is in a major funk. So on and so forth. Then the whole Soroka fiasco. Your big deadline deal for a SP is an average guy when healthy that is already experiencing a velo dip and now he’s out after 2 innings for no telling how long. I still believe we will be fine. Still one of the best records. Milwaukee just continues to win over and over and over. I’m not saying it’s the end of the world. It’s just frustrating. I guess it’s just a part of the ebbs and flows of a baseball season. This one just feels bigger and more annoying than most all things considered (the way Milwaukee is playing, the failure of the TDL, subpar baseball for 2 straight months, big bats with a prolonged slump, etc). Lot of baseball left though.
  14. Any shot Jaxon Wiggins comes up and helps this season?
  15. Hopefully that leaves Joe Ryan for us
