  1. Very nice PA by Mo against a tough lefty.
  2. Moises and Seiya now #1 and #2 in NL wRC+ (>60 PAs)
  3. Moises Ballesteros now has the highest wRC+ in the NL (>50 PA)
  4. Last place in the NL central would be in 1st place in the AL central. I wonder if this is the latest date into a season where you could say that about two divisions.
  5. At 22, Ballesteros is already such a good PA. He's going to be something else. If they can occasionally find spots for him to catch, perhaps he'll be ready to split time with Amaya in '27.
  6. At some point, Mo will have to get some PAs against lefties. He's just too good of a hitter. They always tried to protect Schwarber from lhp and now he's better against them than rhp.
  7. Boog does that often. I'm on the record as really not loving it.
  8. Caissie 3/4, 2 2B. OPS up over 1.000. Love to see him succeeding out of the gate. He was my guy, but so was Cabrera. Just wish the deal had been for Shaw....
  9. ONKC off to a strong start.
  10. I feel like the bench and bullpen are both in much better shape than they were at this time last season.
  11. Amaya is going to be a beast.
  12. I feel very confident that the Bears are going to be the team to beat in the North for some time.
  13. I must just possess an outlier opinion on this kid's hitting ability. He's obviously not Tony Gwynn. I dont think Pablo Sandoval is a crazy dream, however.
  14. I know it was only 66 PAs, but a 21 yr old Ballesteros had a 143 wRC+ in his first cup of coffee. I dont think a 115wRC+ is "best case scenario". As a platoon DH, I think he can post numbers fairly close to that. An OBP- heavy 130-140 wRC+.
  15. They have built a team without a real weakness. They're almost mirroring with the rotation their annual bullpen strategy of throwing enough arms in there that you are bound to find over- performance. The pen, ironically, is more locked in than usual. The lineup has no glaring holes and the defense is probably the best in baseball.
