  1. Should be targeting a Nice Offense
  2. Connor is the official captain. Kane and Bertuzzi will wear the A. Bedard has been skating and there’s some chatter he will be ready before the initial 4-month prognosis. Three months would be in time for the 4th game of the year in Long Island. Split the difference and he could be facing Montreal at home the week before Halloween, missing 9 games. Ethan Del Mastro signed a 2 year deal with a 950K cap hit, and is the likely 8th Dman who will spend a lot of the time in a suite on game day. He and Korchinski are no longer waiver exempt and won’t see time in Rockford. They have a crowded and heavily LH blue line. there’s not much expectations for this team but people are giving them some props for potential breakouts by Frondell and Kantserov. Nobody is expecting much from Byram, Arty or Rinzel. I didn’t like the Byram deal but do think the potential for a breakout from him is being undersold. It’s not outside the realm to think he could be a better than average #1 Dman. He’s not gonna be a star but the 10th highest scoring D had 61 points last year and that’s on the table. Byram was 19 points behind that as a 2nd pairing guy not getting PP time with Bedard or Kane. One of the 3 dynamic D men might actually click this year and that would go a long way to making this team reasonably competitive.
  3. I had nothing to do and watched the replay last night. Caleb shined when he shined but left a lot on the table and missed too much, imo. Goes to show this offense has much more upside. that game being close at halftime was ridiculous
  4. Well game one went about as expected even if results were more exaggerated than predicted. The offense is a potent mix and the defense is an impotent sieve the Bears are a 5.5 point home favorite in a divisional matchup, which might be the biggest spread as divisional favorite in many years (or maybe not). either way, take the over
  5. Everything associated with the state of Texas and the entire SEC is complete trash, but it’s always great to see Just for Men’s Ryan Day befuddled at the end of a brutal loss.
  6. Preseason is over, games start in less than a week, Bears play in 10 days. Chicago is a 2.5 point road favorite with 9.5 over/under for wins.
  7. Kevin Warren plays fiddle as well as Roseanne Barr sings the national anthem
  8. I think the range of possibilities is average to worst in the league. And there’s a whole lot of room there to be bottom tier
  9. So top 21? I’ll take the under
  10. Korchinski signs 2/1.3aav
  11. Cale Makar 8/163.2. 20.4 AAV. Quinn Hughes probably waiting for that one before signing. If he doesn’t in next 2 weeks he can’t get 8 years. Byram is making 60% less, which almost starts to make that one feel better.
  12. What’s with all the September callups talk, that’s still two months away
  13. Nobody in the nfl is going to begrudge the Bears moving to Indiana, if they maximize tha taxpayer funded portion of the move. they will get annoyed if they drag their feet too long but they won’t step in to force a sale until things get much worse, or the Feds find something to charge the McCaskey family with and force a sale to a trump family member
