Sounds like they are likely to approve the 24 team playoff. I HATE the 12 team playoff, and I'd still prefer less teams. I've honestly watched a fraction of college football compared to the 4 team era. Like literally as I'm typing this, I just realized that Georgia/Bama played last weekend and I had no idea who won. In previous years I would have been glued to my TV to see who wins. But both teams will probably make the playoffs so meh. Anyways, I actually think a 24 team playoff might be better than 12 team though (but not 4 team). I think it basically makes it so the first round is like those 2nd tier bowl games and they now have stakes instead of meaningless with half the players sitting out (not sure if they'd be played as bowl games or on campus). It keeps more teams invested in the season. Like right now I'm completely checked out on Michigan's season. I've watched preseason UM basketball games and don't plan to watch whoever the football team is playing next weekend. In a 24 team playoff there would still be some interest in seeing if they could get their horsefeathers together. Regardless, it's never going to be like when I'd check my phone and see an unranked Texas A&M is winning vs. undefeated Alabama late and racing to the TV to see if the entire college season will be upended. Those days are sadly over forever.

Vikings 5-0 and already has a H2H win over the Bears. Still plenty of time to catch up but yeah, not a good day for the Bears

I'm starting to think that giving a CB a second contract is as bad as giving a RB a second contract except for a few special cases.

One of the things that bother me is I've seen a lot of missed blocks, completely unblocked defenders etc as this game has gotten out of hand. I'm sure Ben is going to see that on tape

Bears can’t run their offense with Bagent. Time to consider Case

They just embarrassed Dennis Allen there. Spent the first half with a lot of screens, runs and short passes. Come out the second half half and caught our secondary flat footed on 3-4 straight plays.

What the heck has happened to Loveland? I’m so perplexed why he’s once again invisible. I know they are using their TEs a lot to block but they’re also very useful to get short gains and create matchup problems. 0 targets in the first half I believe

I’m ok with pulling Bagent for Case but I’m not sure the outcome changes. He doesn’t seem like he’s the type of guy at this stage of his career that leads a team back from 2 TD deficits

Jesus 2 quick outs, no one on and a 2 run lead in the 7th. Seems innocent. Next thing you know 3 straight hits and the go ahead run is on base. This is sickening

Lovie was a great culture builder and knew how to implement his Tampa 2 defense to perfection until the rest of the league started figuring out how to beat it/the Bears best defenders started getting old. He was a good coach, the best Bears coach in my lifetime, but not good in the way Ben Johnson is imo. Ben Johnson completely turned around the culture and his X’s and O’s aren’t limited to specific personnel, he seemingly can adapt and optimize to the players he has. Like I have a pretty strong feeling he could have made Cutler into a much better QB than he was in Chicago I’m sure he does less with the defense than he does the offense but I get the feeling he’s pretty involved there too. -
I'm not necessarily rooting against the White Sox but its a sick joke that the Cubs were 0-2 in the playoffs and the Brewers and White Sox are 5-0 so far, possibly 6-0 since it looks like the Guardians have no desire to score again. Edit: And the White Sox take the lead right after I say that lol

PFF is cracking me up. If you looked at their initial grading, you would assume the Jets had won the game, and probably handily. Among the highlights: -The Bears had a negative EPA per run, the Jets had a positive EPA per run -Bagent had 1 turnover worthy throw on 32 drop backs (maybe I'm remembering it wrong but I thought Caleb's INT in week 1 counted as a turnover worthy throw even though it was called back due to a defensive penalty) -Among both teams, the Jets had the number 1, 2 and 4 graded offensive players...you know the team that had 32 total offensive plays. -Similarly, the Jets had the 5 highest graded defensive players...you know the team that allowed 34 1st downs and almost 500 total yards.
