    2 out of 3 is more than fine, it just annoys me how bad the pen was all series and based on the guys currently occupying the pen it doesn't seem like a blip it seems like reality.

    After desperately trying to blow big leads the last 2 games, the pen was given a small lead today and immediately blew it.

    After getting lucky with hard hit outs yesterday, Bregman just decided to go back to weak grounders

    walked 3 of the last 4 hitters and the other one he went 2-0 on before inducing a DP

    Damn, he was terrible that inning and got out of it unscathed lol

    Thought this was interesting…PCA started his second half slide almost immediately after game 92, a game where he hit 2 HR to get to 25 HR on the season. After that he hit 3 HR in his next 52. Not saying this as a negative as I think there are things PCA has added to his game to limit a slump as bad as he had for much of the second half. I point it out because we can compare his hot starts for each season at the 92 game mark. 2025: .271/.309/.560/.869, 25 HR, 70 RBI, 50 XBH, 18 BB, 90 K (389 PA) 2026: .296/.386/.542/.928, 21 HR, 52 RBI, 39 XBH, 42 BB, 102 K (400 PA)

    lol Conforto’s actual HR would not have gone out at Wrigley. Would have gone out in 26 parks

    We’ve had plenty of big leads lately to allow the pen to get some work in and get into a rhythm but they just all suck lol

    In addition to the 5 HRs we’ve hit today, there are 2 more hit by the Cubs that would have been HRs at Wrigley and nowhere else, Bergman’s fly ball in the 1st and Conforto’s fly ball that was an error last inning

    Belgium is certainly the better team but the US players all seemed to have their worst games last night. Like discussed above, all 4 of the goals seemed to be US blunders not necessarily great plays by Belgium. So many times it looked like the players were out of sync, went the wrong way when a player passed it, or just had poor first touches. It was a completely different team than we saw the rest of the tournament. Certainly Belgium deserves credit but it was just jarring how much the US seemed to beat themselves.
