  1. The Rays are going to be back at the Trop this year, its all fixed up apparently.
  2. The tiebreaker after H2H is “runs allowed/outs recorded”. So if the game extends, the team will record more outs and thus their ratio will get smaller, eventually with enough outs passing the US
  3. Social media says that Mexico would have to win in a game lasting into the 14th inning for the US to be eliminated at this point. I was kind of hoping that Mexico would win with like 6-7 (edit: horsefeathers) runs scoring meaning those 2 PCA HRs made the difference in the US advancing, but this is fine too.
  4. Optimal scenario is Mexico is up 4-0 in the 9th, has clearly punted the last couple of innings to stick it to the US, then Italy scores 5 in the 9th to win.
  5. USA will still probably lose but those 4 runs are huge. These tiebreakers are confusing but I think they would need Mexico to score 6 runs if they win (or of course an Italy win). Without those 2 bombs they would need Mexico to score 10
  6. Yeah PCA is going to hit 30 more bombs this year
  7. I dont think it has to be Crosby but if the Bears don't walk into next season with at least a very good Edge I'll be very disappointed. Not a draft pick (though I'd add one with one of those 2nds too), an established edge. Maybe I'm setting myself up for disappointment
  8. Now that is something that would likely interest the Raiders if thats the route they go Really wish they had those comp picks...not as trade bait but additional resources that would help us overcome the potential loss of draft picks in a trade.
  9. Sorry 'off the books' was the wrong term....they still saved money with him retiring
  10. They haven't even restructured any contracts yet. I would assume restructures plus Dalman's salary off the books would have allowed them to spend on a center.
  11. It's possible they didn't want Moore and/or his salary. I think a lot of the speculation about the player added was somewhat due to needing to shed salary in the deal. That said the Bears didn't really get draft picks that would make the offer significantly more attractive without a player. Who knows, we'll see how it plays out.
  12. I think you spend on one of those positions and address the other in the draft. If we don't leave the offseason without a pro bowl caliber Edge I'll be disappointed. Our OL was a huge plus for us last year and I would obviously like to keep that but our DL was our biggest weakness. Has to be addressed. Just sucks, if Ozzy didnt get hurt and Dalman didn't retire we're locked in there. Ozzy's injury is bad enough that we can't even look for a stopgap at LT, we need to think long term because we can't assume he will ever be healthy enough to play at a high level again.
  13. Why? I haven't seen how much the Bills are taking on in terms of salary but this likely helps clear up the salary issue. The Raiders likely didnt want to take on Moore's contract, so we found another suitor. We'll see.
  14. Makes sense...mid round pick so hopefully Bills are picking up a majority of the money. Bears trying to clear salary space, he's the highest priced guy at a position we have a surplus, and he had a down year last year and was invisible for entire games. That said, he had some of the biggest catches of the season and it sucks to see him go. My son is going to be devastated, the bomb against GB was the moment that his Bears fandom fully clicked and he LOVES DJ Moore...begged me to buy his jersey and it took a lot of convincing to get him to choose another Bear (Loveland lol) Bears will probably need a FA veteran WR at this point...Caleb and Keenan Allen had solid chemistry at the end of 2024 and will allow Burden and Rome to stretch the field with him as a safety valve. Just a thought..
  15. It's a gut punch for sure. People are saying not a big deal that the backup PG is out, but he was becoming a very important piece and really hitting his stride the last month or so. Looking over the roster there are probably only 3 players I would have wanted to see out the rest of the year less than Cason, and yes that includes Cadeau, the starting PG. (Yax, Mara, Morez being the 3).
  16. I've heard Mara and Johnson are hoping to be closer to middle of 1st round to leave but we'll never know until the season ends. I'd bet at least one stays but we'll see. Yeah brain fart on Gayle, he's done
  17. man that sucks. agreed everyone has the right to do whats best for their physical and mental health and honestly I dont blame him but thats a big blow for the bears.
  18. True it’s not safe to assume anyone will stay these days. Michigan has a pretty big war chest though and McKenney has been given a permanent role as a freshman with a clear path to a larger role next year so I’m not super concerned. Cason was recruited to FAU by Dusty and then brought to Michigan when he took the job and now has a torn ACL so I’d expect him to stay. I could see someone like Gayle hit the portal since he’s already done it once and his role is probably less than he was expecting.
  19. Definitely not another Yax out there most likely. It will be interesting to see who goes to the draft but Trey McKenney is a top 30 prospect who is playing very well as a true freshman in a backup role, Cason is another reserve that has stepped up in key moments. Gayle has been in a role that’s probably beneath his ability (though he has flaws). It would be hard to say they’ll be as good as this year but their depth will help them and in this new reality of college sports Yax leaves but that’s $3m in NIL they can use in the portal.
  20. The second half of the Purdue game made me more impressed with them. Purdue kept hitting big shots and making mini runs and Michigan kept answering to keep the game out of range. In a hostile road environment they basically kept them at arms length despite Purdue playing really well.
  21. I’ll have you know I’m watching the Bulls just as much since the deadline as I was before.
  22. that doesn't sound promising
  23. Sounds like they're moving to Indiana...
  24. I’m not watching the video but if he did anything except tee off against him he should be released.
  25. But the funny thing about suddenly stockpiling 2nd round picks is they spent their first several years treating 2nd round picks like they were radioactive, selling them off or dumping them for euro prospects that never planned to play in the NBA. Now all the sudden they are the Temu Thunder
