  1. Does Bregman get this response at every road stadium he’s at or were Cleveland fans particularly angry about the Astros scandal?
  2. A 1 hitter where the one hit was a horribly misplayed fly ball by Conforto that should have been an out. Oh well.
  3. I really do think the the WBC was big for Palencia, closing out critical games including the championship. Obviously he's been really solid before this but it had to have given him an additional jolt of confidence.
  4. The funny thing is all these embarrassing performances and they’re still gonna have the 9th best lottery odds. What a disastrously run franchise.
  5. The Cubs haven’t recovered from a 3-4 start to make the playoffs since all the way back in…2025
  6. He at least had the kindness to wait until game 13
  7. Come on Bregman, what the heck? Not an easy play but that's a couple so far I thought he could have gotten and hasn't.
  8. Man I can’t believe I went to a March baseball game at Wrigley that had such amazing weather. Felt like a mid-June game
  9. Imagine the parallels to 1989 that will be talked about if Michigan and Illinois face off. -Michigan undefeated against Illinois in the regular season -Facing off late in the tourney -Illinois is looking for their first title.
  10. There’s a real possibility of an Illinois-Michigan final and that’s scary.
  11. USMNT looking great /s
  12. I'm kind of sick of that particular quirk of Wrigley to be honest. Can we just play normal baseball?
  13. I think other teams will value him higher than we do. I don't think he's a utility type bat, others will see his age and top 30 prospect pedigree and see him as a potential cornerstone piece, whereas we're already locked in at 3B, SS and 2B and his OF work remains to be seen.
  14. Meh. I like both players but Seiya will be 32 after this year, gets injured a lot, has issues defensively. I think we can at least shop for a better long term bat and take our chances with him hitting FA. If he's willing to accept a 2-3 year extension I'd definitely consider it. Happ will also be 32 (I was today year's old when I realized their birthdays are 6 days apart!) and solid all around but not as good of a hitter as Seiya. If his bat declines much it might be rough over the next couple of years. Again, I wouldn't be against either of them being back next year (or whenever they play baseball again after this season),but I don't think extending either is a no brainer either.
  15. I'm happier about this extension than I am PCA's, mostly because of all the news about shopping him the last 2 offseasons, I was worried they didn't value him as much as I did. This is awesome.
  16. 1 game in and the Brewers currently have a 19 run better RD than the Cubs 🤣
  17. Well at least one team knows how to hit HRs in these conditions.
  18. Nico probably thinks if you dont use them they carry over into the next game or something.
  19. wow. Boyd is awful right now. And in the WBC. And at the end of last season. Blah
