  1. that’s over $30m with just those 3 moves
  2. I am seeing lots of people now saying the Bears can’t add in the offseason because of their cap position and that couldn’t be farther from the truth. They have no huge contracts, most of their draft picks and a ton of guys who would be perfect for restructuring. If anything I’d say they are in a great position to improve and can probably get $40-50m freed to improve the roster.
  3. That’s not what I said. I was trying to say that they either won the game outright, or they lost it on the final play edit: whoops someone already clarified for me lol. Carry on
  4. Crazy to think that 16 of the Bears last 17 games were either Bears wins or Bears losses that happened on the last play of the game. What a season.
  5. I wonder if things would have been different if he had just kept Thuney at LG and Benedet at LT. Benedet is a much better run blocker than a pass blocker. Caleb evades sacks at an elite level, maybe we should have kept things the way they were?
  6. Granted I'm several beers in and I think the defense played better than expected but Stafford was so off most of the night. Not sure how much of it was the cold affecting him. Crazy that they turned in a decent defensive performance without a single turnover.
  7. What was it 2nd and 8? It probably needed to be a pass. Probably didnt need to be 25 yards downfield. But that's where the Bears have lived all year so it is what it is I guess. If it's an accurate pass and DJ doesn't slow up on it, the Bears are celebrating right now.
  8. This is one of those losses where I went in thinking that the season could definitely end tonight and was at peace with it (though obviously not conceding the game) but because of how it ended with being 15 yards away from potentially winning it, it sucked me in and kicked me in the gut. That said I'm not as devastated as I would think I would be. My 10 year old though is experiencing his first true sports heartbreak which makes me very sad for him.
  9. Also it’s not even the first or second time DJ has loafed on a route. I mean yes blame DJ but 15 yards away from FG range I’m not sure I love the decision to throw 25 yards downfield. But that’s raw emotion talking
  10. horsefeathers Caleb. Absolutely essential to us getting there. Terrible decision at the worst time. I realize DJ had a lot to do with it but damn future is bright tho
  11. I’m not mad if we lose I’m mad how we lost if we lose. Ugh
  12. Can’t believe short yardage play calling and execution may be our deathblow
  13. May live to regret this but Stafford looks COLD
  14. 7 INTs in the regular season, 4 In the playoffs so far. That was the first that wasn’t on 4th down though
  15. wtf Rome. Wasn’t sure hands his thing in the draft?
  16. The ones they failed on were both defensible imo. One was on the first drive when you are trying to set a tone on 4th and 2. The other was on fringe FG range on 4th and 1. Maybe the play calls can be scrutinized but I’m fine with the decisions.
  17. Didn’t brisker lead the team in sacks last year or the year before? Lol
  18. Man I always agree with Ben’s 4th down decisions, and this was a no brainer IMO but I really wish we converted a higher percentage
  19. I get that 100%. I’m still questioning the decision to move Tuney to LT and then completely avoiding the left side. Eventually there is going to be an adjustment by the Rams
  20. Wow a missed call on a Bears QB? I’m shocked
  21. Man the AFC is a mess. The fact that either the Patriots, Stidham Broncos or (probably not) Texans will represent them in the Super Bowl is wild.
  22. Let’s be real, that wasn't a funeral it was a Christian nationalist rally. Whether Shaw personally shares Charlie Kirk’s most extreme views is almost beside the point, you don’t skip work during a pennant race to fly across the country for a 'casual friend.' If Kirk were just some anonymous neighbor Shaw texted occasionally, there’s no way he’s missing games for him. By choosing to be a visible part of that event, Shaw effectively endorsed Kirk’s platform, which includes the normalization of hate toward marginalized groups. You can't separate the player from the politics when the player chooses the politics over the team.
  23. I beg to differ 😂
  24. Welp, tomorrow will be the last game on the lakefront this year. Seahawks look scary good but just get to that game and we’ll see what happens.
