  1. That’s exactly 3 ER allowed in each of Cabrera’s last 5 starts. Work in progress
  2. 3 straight matches Everton has conceded in the last minute of stoppage time to lose or draw.
  3. And City with one back. The is bonkers. Man City really needs 3 points here though, gonna be super tense.
  4. The Cubs have now been 10+ games over .500 at some point in 10 of the last 12 seasons: 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2023, 2025, 2026 In 2024 we topped out at 8 games over and in 2022 I don’t think we were ever over .500. Pretty good run!
  5. I know the pitching infrastructure the Cubs have put in place gets praised, but I don't think they get enough praise. We lost like 80% of our pitching staff and immediately have gone on a 14-3 run. I'm sure it won't always go this smoothly, but it is really impressive how they've been able to cobble together effective enough pitching more often than not.
  6. Always (not) funny when the sac fly ball comes with 2 outs
  7. Kinda wish Palencia was in Chicago today instead of Iowa
  8. I love how on days when it seems impossible to hit HRs the opponents seem to out homer us significantly.
  9. Inning ending GIDP to Shaw ends up with 0 outs and now the DBacks have a rally going ugh Alternate post: Shaw was shaded too far to the right to make that play Edit: Also my feed was behind so I guess that happened a few minutes ago lol
  10. Great piece of hitting by Bregman. Gotta think if healthy he's on 3rd
  11. I love how Sutcliffe is acting like the presence of Hoby Milner warming up is some strike of strategic genius. Like yes its great to have a guy like him there to hurt a Sheets PH but he’s acting like it’s a brilliant strategy no one could have accounted for
  12. I swear I know we’re 3 outs from winning the series but this Padres team has driven me nuts with a half dozen ABS overturns a game, perfectly positioned fielding, lucky bounces etc. I know the Cubs have had some fortune too but I’m ready for this series to be over.
  13. Damn I’ll definitely take having the lead after that
  14. They do get too long sometimes IMO but I think the difference is an ABS call can be confirmed definitively within 5 seconds and if given more time they could bog down the game by challenging every call.
  15. Getting completely destroyed on ATS this series. Another example there, we don't challenge a strike call when the ball was clearly out of the strike zone and they challenge a terrible ball call firmly in the strike zone. Instead of 2-0 or 1-1 its 0-2.
