    Another RBI bloop hit with 2 outs. The Cubs luck is BRUTAL lately in addition to playing poorly.

    Maybe but it won’t be Counsell. They’re still technically in a playoff spot right now which I realize is like the pig flying through the air in the Simpsons with Homer saying “it’s still good it’s still good” but they won’t fire him. Won’t be Hottovy either. Maybe the hitting coach.

    It’s kind of wild how jarring it is to go from getting used to experiencing a Cubs win almost every day for close to a month to immediately experiencing a Cubs loss almost every day for 2.5 weeks.

    The Cubs have hit 2 HRs during this 6 game homestead, and just 1 in the past 5 games.

    I stressed caution for much of this streak. And obviously they are going to play better, but this feels like something worse than just a slump.

    I mean if everyone is healthy he’s probably our 5th starter after Horton, Steele, Cabrera and Boyd. But they’re all on the IL

    The Cubs haven’t had a lead since the White Sox hit their walk off HR last Sunday. In those 5 games, the Cubs have only finished an inning tied in 4 innings

    Quietly Rea had a solid start: 7 IP, 3 ER. Guessing Palencia will get one of the last 2 innings since he needs work.

    Hey maybe that $400m Dodgers roster can cool off the Brewers. Nope, Milwaukee wins easily. They won the (regular season) series 6-0 over the Dodgers last year as well. this is pretty much the Cubs luck lately:
