  1. What is DJ doing? I don’t it
  2. Did you see how badly JJ got burned when he was on ASB?
  3. Bears have had a really fun season and are on the way up but ending the regular season 2-3 with their wins being over the Browns and a once in a decade miracle comeback against GB is sobering (if they can’t come back)
  4. Bears defense has allowed 48 points on their last 10 drives, 6 TD, 2 FG, 1 punt, 1 drive ended a half after giving up 41 yards
  5. Lions last 9 drives against the Bears: TD TD FG TD TD TD 3 and out with 31 point lead FG FG
  6. Fixed it for you
  7. The last couple of years I have barely watched them and just checked the scores. This year I haven't even checked the scores. I know they played last night but no idea if they won. I just don't care at all. I'm a Bulls fan but until they act like they have any desire to put something watchable on the court, I'm all out on the NBA. No idea what's happening in the league right now. Doesn't hurt that Michigan basketball could probably beat a couple NBA teams this year 😂
  8. Could go either way. With nothing to play for I could see the team packing it in and playing like crap. Or with nothing to play for they go all out and try to send a message to the Bears. For how crappy their season is, they are 3rd in DVOA for the season, I think I saw the 2nd best 8-8 team ever by DVOA. They're a really good team, if they're up for it.
  9. With the Rams loss, here are (I think) all the scenarios for the Bears playoff fate: Bears win: 2 Bears play 7 Packers Bears lose, Eagles lose: 2 Bears play 7 Packers Bears lose, Eagles win, 49ers win: 3 Bears play 6 Rams Bears lose, Eagles win, Seahawks win, Rams lose: 3 Bears play 6 Rams Bears lose, Eagles win, Seahawks win, Rams win: 3 Bears play 6 49ers
  10. I was a little gutted after the game because of how close we got but overall I came into the game not sweating it too much and found myself getting over it pretty quickly afterwards. Can't win every game in the final seconds and even in failure, they drove the entire length of the field and were 2 yards from completing the comeback yet again.
  11. Maybe he'll have a Matt Flynn game and we can convince some team to trade a 2nd or 3rd round pick for him lol
  12. Are you suggesting Shanahan is that much better of an offensive mind than Ben Johnson? Don't get me wrong Shanahan has certainly accomplished so much more thus far in their respective careers but I think we have a pretty elite offensive mind on our sidelines that is slowly unlocking the best version of Caleb.
  13. This might have already been mentioned but today's 330 yard performance from Caleb made 4,000 yards a lot more doable. Needs 270 yards if he plays vs Detroit to get to 4k, and 109 yards to set the Bears all time record for passing yards in a season.
  14. There's also discussion I've seen that the Bears appeared to be expecting the 49ers to call a TO and it might have thrown off their timing a bit. But because the Bears got the play call in late and the clock was running down, Shanahan elected to not use the TO. Doesn't really excuse them for not being ready, you can't assume a TO is coming but could somewhat explain why the play seemed doomed from the start.
  15. Still images are tough to discern much from IMO. From that photo guys are already breaking in that direction. Imagine the uproar if Caleb throws short of the end zone with the game on the line and Swift gets stopped. He also has a defender bearing in on him from that side, potentially right where Caleb would be throwing. Maybe you're right with the full video, but based on that picture its inconclusive to me.
  16. I really hope not. what are we talking about with the 2 seed vs 3 seed? The Packers will be well rested (resting their starters next week) and while we beat them, they just went an entire regulation where every single drive they had ended inside the Bears 10 yard line. They are the easier draw for sure but as the 3 seed they might have a west coast warm weather team have to travel to Chicago to play. Maybe not a huge advantage (we've seen SF take out a better GB team multiple times in recent years), but I would hope there is so advantage and maybe slows down their offenses a bit. And then in the 2nd round you probably go to Philly, where the Bears have already won this year. I'd much rather have the 2 seed but the 3 seed doesn't doom us or anything. Losing more guys to injury could though. Also remember the last time the Bears had a bye week, we were in the middle of the Brewers-Cubs NLDS series. We've played 12 straight weeks of football.
  17. You dont think they could have run a 1 read play with 4 seconds? It's probably a little risky but if it's not there immediately throw it at the WRs feet.
  18. True the drops were killer. If Burden catches that pass, Ben doesn't use his 2nd TO to draw up a 4th down play. I don't necessarily have any critique on how they used their TOs or clock management but it seemed at one point that time would absolutely not be a factor for us and ultimately it was which sucks.
  19. No one should play next week. Normally not a take I'd have but this team is snakebitten with injuries.
  20. If Seattle wins do you push these guys into the lineup? I guess it depends a couple of things: -Are you willing to risk falling to 3rd seed and playing SF/LA/SEA and if you win go on the road to Philly vs a guaranteed home game in the divisional round? -Does SF rest their starters in Week 18 against Seattle if the Bears win tonight thus eliminating the Niners from the division race and nothing to play for except maybe 5 vs 6 seed (if LAR also loses)? They’ve had a lot of injuries this year and some veterans in key positions that could use a week of rest The Bills/Eagles game this afternoon may make the first point moot and who knows what Detroit team we get next week at Soldier Field. I would think they’d be motivated to embarrass Ben Johnson again but they’re probably just trying to get the season over with after their deflating collapse
  21. Interesting, can you find that scenario? Other places are reporting the Eagles can't get the 1 seed but definitely possible there is some obscure scenario that not many people are picking up on it. Edit: In fact, the only way all 5 teams tie at 12-5 is with the Bears beating the 49ers and then SF beats Seattle (because Seattle has to lose twice to finish 12-5). If that were to happen, the 49ers would win the division with a 3-1 H2H record vs Seattle/LAR, compared to 2-2 for Seattle/LAR. If I'm reading the tiebreaking rules properly, if one team has a H2H sweep, they would win the tiebreaker, and in this case the Bears would be 2-0 against the 49ers and Eagles, the 2 teams they would be tied with.
  22. Has there ever been a team that didn't punt in consecutive games and lost them both before the Packers just did it?
  23. Only teams remaining for the 7 seed and their probability of finishing in the 7th seed: -GB/CHI loser: 92% -SF: 7% -LAR: 1% I have no idea what the Rams scenario is, but SF becoming the 7 seed is pretty clear, 49ers lose out and Packers win out. There is also a chance the Bears end up as the 1 seed and get a bye or fall to the 3 seed, but the odds of a Bears/Packers Wild Card matchup are overwhelming at this point.
  24. I can’t stand Larrivee mostly because he sucked doing Bulls games on WGN back in the day and I hated that he bailed on the Bears PBP job for the Packers, though I get that he grew up a Packers fan and that was his dream job.
  25. The Chiefs just announced a new domed stadium to be built in Kansas and opened for the 2031 season. This would be the 6th NFL stadium that was announced after the Bears announced plans to build a stadium in Arlington Heights that will be completed before any Bears stadium is completed (possibly before any construction begins at this rate)
