What’s disappointing is that they were noticeably worse in 2026 then 2025. They aren’t getting better nor is the arrow pointing up. Worse record, more injuries, no playoff wins despite facing the same opponent as last year. Just a much larger payroll despite having all of the same pitching issues as 2025. This core is already declining.

lol they traded a top 50 prospect for a guy that will never end up even pitching for the team in the playoffs… or at least make an impact

When Horton went down, I thought this team was finished. They’ve exceeded my expectations since then. Gotta try to keep that perspective on days like today lol. I think the Cubs play well tonight and force a game 3.
