  1. Do you really care if a guy strikes out just a batter every other inning, if he carries a 70% GB rate? Definitely feels like theyre just leaning into a pitch to contact approach and its working.
  2. So, what did we have in Ty Johnson? Not sure if anyone has noticed, but this guy has completely dominated every level with the Rays and is knocking on the door. 15th round pick in 2023. 25% K-BB at AA and AAA.
  3. Hes going over 10 fwar this year. At 8.7 now. 300/410/650 over his last 400 PA
  4. Phillies scored 6 in the 9th to walk off the Cardinals
  5. Ho-hum, just 3 more walks and steals for Kepley. 10 steals at the level already. 60/65 on the season.
  6. Well theres no way we are catching the Brewers but let's at least not concede the division after a game in which we play each other. What a heartbreaking loss.
  7. Legit thinking he will end up over an 800 OPS this year. They unlocked prime Bregman over the ASB.
  8. Acuna with a true holy horsefeathers throw. This is Luis Lara running. https://x.com/MLB/status/2090915599182426231
  9. I called the writers out in his chat this week and he said he might do a piece on him so ill take credit for this one lol
  10. Brett Gardner would be totally acceptable.
  11. According to Sports Info Solutions and Statcast the Cubs are 29th against curves and 26th against changeups. They absolutely mash against fastballs, sliders, and splitters though. So the path to beat them is narrow, but its pretty clear. I forget how to find team stats vs 95+ mph.
  12. Get a pitcher out there that can locate curves and changes and high heat and we are a completely different offense. We also really struggle when they limit walks. However the biggest separator between the Cubs and the Brewers is in the rotation. The Brewers have 3 guys who are head and shoulders above our best guy. Miz and Harrison are clearly superior but dont sleep on Henderson, hes having an outstanding year. All 3 of them are 3.0 xfip or lower.
  13. Messick is having the most unheralded rookie season this year. Nobody talks about him.
  14. Would they actually let them host a Super Bowl in Hammond though?
  15. Possibly beaten by back to back 80 mph doubles and a 75 mph single
  16. God I hate Grichuk so much. Even ****** contact vs LH turns into a double
