    I am still can’t believe what has happened to Busch . He simply can’t pull the ball in the air Seems like he goes out there looking to slap the ball the other way love the OBP , but we need power from him

    That’s a really refreshing win after last night . Great road trip , getting away from Pit and St Louis in the WC race . This weekend will be difficult because the bullpen is kind of beat up ( especially for tomorrow , but happy right now . Hooefully Jed gives Craig at least 3 new toys to play with before Monday at 6:00 PM

    As a 2nd SP option he would be ok I guess . Should be better for the Cubs . With that said he should be a last resort option even as a 2nd arm added

    Detmers went only 5 last night , 2 ER and struck out 9 . Interesting they kept him at 85 pitches only

    In really good position to take the series with their 2 bests SP next two days . Hopefully they don’t blow it . Also they aren’t getting Schlitter this weekend , on paper caught a break there

    That’s certainly possible . At least this year he hasn’t been awful on defense . Basically neutral in both corners . But yeah I get the concern in larger samples . I am hoping they bring back Seiya back

    I really don’t care if Ayer’s is found money . I am not trading him with the season he is having for a reliever , and I really like Luke Weaver . There will be plenty of relievers that can do the job available. Sure Ayer’s could start sucking next year , but he could also continue to be good . You never know In a deal for a SP with control ? Sure sign me up You get too worked up about what posters say of Jed. It’s an internet board cal . enjoy it

    Conforto has been a nice little find . 121 wrc . If the Cubs let Happ go and go with a 1 year guy . He has put himself in the conversation as the strong part of a platoon

    I think he will hit better than Shaw againts righties . My thing with Shaw is his ability to hit RHP . If he can’t up his production againts them , it will be difficult for him to be an everyday player . I just like Pedro’s swing better . His at bats look more competitive againts righties IMO than Shaw . It has nothing to do with Oedro getting a couple of soft hits tonight . And to be clear because I don’t want him traded , doesn’t mean I wouldn’t trade him for a SP with control . I understand that Pedro really doesn’t have a long term spot other than utility with this team I have no concerns trading Ayers , but not for Luke Weaver

    I have a feeling Pedro won’t be with the Cubs on Tuesday unfortunately . I like him so much more than Shaw
