    Valdez isn’t a Boras guy . I believe Valdez agent is Dominican . With that said , it’s very possible Boras is waiting on the Orioles , before pushing the Gallen negotiations

    Cubs won’t go near the AAV , that would get a Valdez deal done . That would push them into the 2nd tier of the LT . I even doubt they would do Gallen on a 20 AAV TBH for LT reasons as well ) Also Gallen will probably seek an opt out after 1 as well . Giving up a pick , an opt out after 1 and getting into the LT 2nd tier ? Looks extremely unlikely IMO .

    Yeah , I mean if the assumption is that they won’t be able to add an impact starter at the deadline , considering what happened last year , then it makes a lot of sense to make another SP move now , if they are willing to make such a commitment in dollars .

    I really don’t see a realistic bat that I would take over Ballesteros TBH . The bullpen is basically full as well . They have 1 spot open but I personally would leave that for 1 of the minor league signings or aaa pitchers ( Hodge ,among others ) This may sound nuts , but i wouldn’t mind Gallen now . Use a 6 man rotation until Steele gets back and then use the IL ( Dodger style ) to rest guys . Let’s face it Cabrera is a huge risk in terms of health , and prices for SP mid season are insane . Get another SP to protect against a key injury

    Mets could still sign Valdez , but I think they have a great chance at Peralta

    Huge blow to the Phillies . They have Turner / Harper / Schwarber , but idk about the rest . They also lost Suarez . Their window seems to be closing . I wonder if they go after Bellinger now ?

    Dean seems like minor league depth . 3 options left . That could point to Alcantara starting g as the 4th OF. But we will see . I believe the 40 man would be at 39 once Bregman gets added

    Looks like Bregman was ready to sign with Boston for 165 , asked for the NTC and Boston said no , and that’s when the Cubs got him

    Guys , don’t get confused . Rogers did say he thought the Cubs would go over , but were to going to hang around the tax . He meant that they would go over if they needed to make trades in season .

    I think Alcantara still has 1 option left . I think it was Arizona Phil who is really good at this stuff , who said it . Fangraphs still has him with 1 as well . If he has 1 , my preference would be to have him start at Iowa as the main depth guy and get another bat for the bench ( OF ) who I feel good about in case the of an IL trip from one of the regulars

    This is such an interesting move . With a 35 AAV , I got to believe they could have gotten a younger Bichette . Don’t get me wrong , not complaining , just wondering !
