    There is no better choice between facing one of the best hitters in baseball versus one of the worst? Is it a tough situation? Of course. Was there a clear better hitter to face when you pretty much have to strike out the hitter? Absolutely. Nico Ks 10% of the time while Busch Ks 23% of the time this season. Busch’s slump and K percentage is all the analysis needed and somehow Mendoza screwed that up.

    Oh but it is. Cohen isn't going to take the team playing like this for long and you're giving him an excuse to fire you. Nico is one of the best contact hitters in baseball and happens to also be one of the best hitters in baseball right now. Then you have Busch who is one of the coldest hitters in baseball with the potential for a double play if you walk Nico, The fact that we're even having to debate this is embarrassing.

    Is Fangraphs causing false panic? No. Will the Cubs play a lot better? Hopefully. Is there some justified pressure on this team and playoff uncertainty. Yes.

    Right, but the Cubs were never a great team to start the year and without Horton and possibly other starters they don’t have nearly the roster to withstand stretches like this. That’s why they currently have a 38% chance to make the playoffs according to Fangraphs.

    Lol, my guy. The Dodgers were 29-19 on May 19th last year, were in first place, and had a significantly better roster than the Cubs currently have. That’s just a terrible example.

    Bleacher Nation Bears says the Bears don’t have the money to pay Maxx Crosby even if they could trade for him. Right now they have $6 million in cap space left. But the article pointed to another financial issue: cash flow with the team itself. The Bears don’t have enough liquidity to pay star players or meet payroll? What?
