And again…….Put up a few runs, Boyd pitches well and then a lame arm comes in and gets rocked. I don’t see that improving over the next month or so. 
Bats and defense can only keep them in games for so long with lame ducks in the bullpen

They’ve had a 3 run lead in 6 of their last 8 losses, and one of them was a 2 run, 2 out 9th inning lead.

Palencia has looked strong at times but he was never fully in my circle of trust. He’s goodish but not a late inning guy IMO. Even last year he would have stretches where he got roughed up a bit.

i'm not shocked that the Cubs pitching staff down like 7 pitchers on the season is bad, but its still a bummer

 

there's basically no lead thats less than 5 runs or more thats safe
