    I was watching the end to that game - in typical Brewer fashion, they had two on one out with top of the order approaching. Thankfully, they didn’t have that “Brewer mojo” tonight. Cubs need a win to keep pace and close the gap hopefully.

    Hmm - interesting for sure. Maybe they feel they’ve seen enough from Alcantara and they have Conforto as the best option for RF/DH. Plus they can give Triantos some AB for n the bigs - I do wonder if they’re using this as an “audition” for potential trade deal(s)? So to your knowledge, Pedro isn’t headed to IL? That was the other question I had. Thanks 🙏 for the reply

    That’s what I heard too - to be honest, I originally thought this call up had to do with a potential trade as well. An injury would make the most sense - but do we know for sure why Triantos got the call up?

    Yep - may be packing it in early tonight. Rest day and mentally prepare for a looong stretch of baseball the next couple weeks.

    I know home runs are part of the game, but I would really like to know. When was the last time the Cubs had a game where they did not give up a home run? I’m trying to think back to a game. They had a shut out in, but it seems like every game, literally at least one or two reach the bleachers.

    Yeah, they definitely had a sharp decline the last week or two. I really like Eury Perez - he’s been lights out his last few starts. One bright spot
