    Totally agreed - they’re still professional hitters. That same team swept the Dodgers a week or so ago 🤷‍♂️

    They say the cubs have the tie breaker due to, yes - better record in their division and I believe NL. They split during the season, so that default goes to the Cubs 👍💪

    Anyone else concerned about two of our top three pitchers look shaky to say the least heading closer to October?

    Shota is pitching .1000 One thing to be a fly ball pitcher and another to be a homerun pitcher. Yeah yeah yeah - he gave up three to the Braves last time and pitched a great game, but man oh man - he has been serving homers like it’s his job of late. I started Diaz in fantasy baseball with that “fly ball” thing in mind. 🤷‍♂️😆 Let’s go Shota! Hopefully he settles in and puts together 5-6 strong 💪

    Ha! Yeah - it’s been their season the way things have fell their way. Question is - will this fortune favor them in October? One can hope not……🤷‍♂️

    A loss happens - it was the WAY they lost today that frustrates me personally. Yes, the two solo shots were unsettling, but that happens with a hanger or meatball over the plate to some professional hitter, but the whole First and third no outs and they couldn’t produce ONE run to force extras?? That was beyond frustrating!! Come on fellas - ya gotta be better than that

    Man - I really like the kid, but PCA has become almost an automatic out anymore. The regression since the break has been extremely concerning. 😕

    My father almost lost the home (dramatic a bit) on a bet with a guy that the Mets would win it outright and …..well, you know the rest lol

    No bandwagon here - been a fan since I was a kid. However, I have shifted to the more optimistic side of fandom with the Cubs. I get frustrated like anyone, but what the hell - they have beaten the best this year and lost to the worst, so it’s anyone’s championship to win. Absolutely - I’d much rather play the Brewers after the Padres (most likely first round opponent) than the Phillies. I live right outside Philly, so I would love nothing more than beating them to get to the WS, but yes - it would also be cool to avoid them if possible lol

    I sifted through and read the vast majority of the comments in here. Many good points and opinions on a plethora of things. I like seeing other people’s viewpoints and opinions. We all have them as fans - my personal take…… With the way this season has gone as a whole, it’s any team’s championship to win. Who would have thought that the Dodgers, Yankees, and let us not forget the Mets, would have struggled as much as they have? Cubs were one of the hottest teams to start the year, Giants started off hot, fell off and are now within striking distance from a WC spot. Holy hell - look at Milwaukee and their success lol. That’s just a few examples. This season is so stressful because there’s no sure fire way to tell anything - baseball is awesome because of the unpredictable nature of streaks. Long and short - what team(s) are going to be the hottest come end of September and through October? Man, we all hope the Cubbies can catch that 🔥 again! I’m trying to be optimistic - I was one of those that was quick to bitch about the Cubs due to frustration like many, but when you boil it down, they have just as good of a chance as anyone. Go Cubs! 🐻

    What’s the latest playoff odds (to make it) for the Cubs now? A week or two ago it was like 99.7%, but I just wonder if it turns out to be a total collapse and the Giants and the few others in the race make a big run. Ya never know - I know they’re very LIKELY to make it, but their play lately has me a bit concerned. It would take an epic collapse, but still 🤷‍♂️

    Can’t argue with that - could PCA also be thrown into that mix? 🤷‍♂️ Just a shame how much they’ve regressed since the break. Hoping they can get it back on track at some point - late September early October would be cool

    Whelp - Bears and Vikings is looking much more attractive than this game. Hope the Cubs can get on track, but it’s a rough going last couple games and seems to be trickling into this one

    That’s exactly thoughts. Get in the postseason - hit reset - hope for a hot streak because if they go into October like this - sweep city for the Cubbies
