  1. Certain few People going to shoot off about PCA’s misjudged ball - like you did Shaw’s?
  2. It’s what he does - way too early and little sample size, but their pitching is looking like hot garbage so far. Horton and hopefully Cabrera can be stable. The others I have zero confidence in
  3. I guess that’s the big question - What does the lineup look like now with Bregman? I agree with your post, but what about this (hear me out) - would they ever consider Bregman as a DH? If so, that completely changes the roster too. However, I personally think they play Bregman at 3B and Shaw will become full time utility to learn and grow into potentially covering for Nico after this year. Or they use one of them as trade bait. Either way - it’s exciting to see them being aggressive and trying to build a solid team! OF is a concern as far as depth is concerned though.
  4. That’s a good take - with their additions to the pen, someone has to be getting moved you would think.
  5. I was reading the comment before regarding the open spot of the bullpen, and I was wondering about Brown or Assad. I haven’t heard much about how they’re going to shape the bullpen. Seems like there are a lot of arms, so the structuring of it all will be interesting.
  6. Thank you for the layout of the bullpen thus far. Did I miss something…is Ben Brown sent down again, or did they release him? I thought he was still on the roster.
  7. https://sleeper.app/topic/263112877047545856/1284319737173536768 ✌️ Tell me you’re saying goodbye without actually saying it. Turn the page.
  8. That is a good idea- he needs to build some capital based on the season he had. Good post
  9. I’ve read several comments about win or lose, it has been a great season. I couldn’t agree more! In hindsight and retrospect - they lose Steele for the year, Shota for a portion of the season, have a group of older relief pitchers who have outperformed everyone’s expectations, went through a major slump as a team after the break, but through all that they are on the verge of going to the NLCS! Pretty great season - I for one didn’t take time to appreciate it as much as I should. I was hypercritical of their coach (still question his decision making), their performances during August and part of September, and didn’t think they would advance as far as they did with how August and much of September went. Shows how much I know lol - in any case, I’m glad they proved me wrong. It’s been a great season either way, but how amazing would it be to come back down 0-2 against your division rival and make it to the NLCS?! Go Cubs!
  10. I agree - these guys can score quickly and with high volume. Needed 1-2 in that last inning
  11. Why am I not shocked? Only allowed to score in the first inning in this series - didn’t you know that? 🤦‍♂️This is insane
  12. I’m not gonna try and act like I was confident with Boyd getting the nod tonight, but great job sir! Good on ya Boyd!
  13. Bottom line - Cubs hired the wrong Brewer coach. Counsell is an idiot when it comes to managing his pitchers. Horrendous. Why Kittridge to start the 8th?? Gives up a double and THEN he pulls him lol - joke of a manager. See you all in March - this game and series is over.
  14. One big inning every game and then absolutely nada from this offense. Brewers literally own them.
  15. What a damn joke Shota is - well, at least I won a bet out of the deal (first run homer) - it’s like taking candy from a baby with that joke of a pitcher. They just don’t have the pitching to keep up with the Brewers.
  16. He pushed PCA’s hand off the bag I thought, which caused him to be “off” the bag and ultimately get called out. Shady, but good on him I guess 😏
  17. I watched that same interview with Machado. He just has a poor attitude. Xander Bogearts was classy and gave credit to his teammates and the winning team. Class - Machado…..not so much
  18. Well - not the outcome we wanted, but you have to tip your cap to the Padres - particularly their bullpen. One bright spot is that Miller should be off the platoon tomorrow. A part of me wants to turn to the “negative” side of things, but I won’t. They didn’t hit today to say the least, but they faced quality pitching and our pitching was solid minus a poorly placed fastball to a HOF hitter. Like all of you in here, I want them to win this series so badly, so they can go into Milwaukee and show them who the better team really is. They are going to win this horsefeathers series tomorrow! Go Cubs Go!! (I hope I used the whole “horsefeathers” comment correctly) 🤷‍♂️
  19. Fair point - Rea is significantly more confident coming out of the bullpen than Taillon, so I see your logic there for sure. Both have been much better lately
  20. Good question about a pending game 3 - my guess would be Rea - been consistent most of the year and healthy. Him or Taillon I guess, right? Not gonna lie - I’m a bit nervous about Shota. He’s been on the struggle bus to say the least these last few starts
