It is just so frustrating that we're this good on offense and have one of the best individual Cubs seasons literally ever unfolding and thanks to the pitching apocalypse we're staring down the barrel of a road wild card series

Of course the diamondbacks losing means the Phillies are winning so maybe enjoy these last 2 homestands at Wrigley

New strategy for next year: just acquire a ton of starting pitchers. Two go each day and each one goes 4-5 innings. Then you have a couple random bullpen guys.

Boyd was at the end of rope there, but yea, you can see why Counsell tries to squeeze every out he can from his starters, even when theyre gassed sometimes.

We can’t find a single quality BP arm.  Brewers have a steady stream of 100 MPH fireballers in their pen.

Oh, I know they had to take Boyd out when they did. I am referring to before the game when so many were suggesting Noyd should be on a short leash. I didn’t understand it then, and now is proof why I didn’t understand it.

It worked to perfection last year, it’s going to ruin the Cubs this year.

I know Uribe is a great reliever but I can't remember a single time the Cubs have ever chased him out of the game or even scored a run on him

The pitching staff - the majority of it - sux right now.  I don’t see how we beat teams in October who will have better ones.

With the way SP have basically been turned into 5 innings starts for the most part,  I've been waiting for a team to do something like this. Just get like 3-4 Assad/Rea/Civale type pitchers that can go 3+ innings for the bullpen.

Anything can happen in a short series but it’s very unlikely the offense is the main reason the Cubs get bounced from the playoffs this year.
