  1. Oyoyoy Maye.
  2. Yeah, this offseason is going to test the limits of how petty I can be.
  3. Just get blown out so I don’t have to care.
  4. But what value are we getting from it? It’s 98% today. 3 days from now uh-oh it’s down to 90%. Then whew back up to 95%. Etc
  5. This is probably ignorant but I don’t like it because it’s a snapshot in time, and we no longer live in that snapshot of time. It’s 98% today but it’s tomorrow, so we have to take the snapshot again, and so on. I don’t see the value of that. It’s like those win probability trend lines. People post that it was 99% then a bunch of crazy stuff happens and it goes completely the opposite direction. Why put stock in that?
  6. I only saw the clip of him saying his location is bad and he's sick of letting the team down. I didn't see all the rest of it.
  7. Oh man, I don't want to argue but how has it not fundamentally changed when we lost a full game in the WC standings? I do appreciate the positives though, don't get me wrong.
  8. Yeah, I just watched that Webb / Chourio AB again (because I'm stupid and masochistic). The pitch Webb grooved to him.....wow. That's not even batting practice. It's your Dad tossing pitches to you in the home run derby. Webb was saying he's sick of letting the team down. I appreciate the honesty but I don't see how a guy who throws that pitch (it's not the first time let's face it) can remain in the majors. But he's who we have in the bullpen. Actually was one of our better BP arms.
  9. Difficult to get a handle on likelihoods with a team that has to be utterly demoralized after what just happened. I'll go with 5-11. Am I shooting that from my ass? Yes.
  10. Yes. I would expect some successes but the disparity in number between Cubs and Brewers is so glaring it cannot be downplayed. We are competing with this team directly every year and in order to compete we spend twice as much and still aren’t on their level. We are spending that money to try to make up for the lack of success at lower levels.
  11. In some corners they might call that progress. But yeah, I’m definitely rooting against these punks forever and ever.
  12. The starting rotation is a mess yet we got two really good starts today and yesterday. It’s like, those guys have to be frustrated as hell too. It’s not like Peterson sucked. He did well and against a good offense too. This bullpen is the worst pen I’ve ever seen.
  13. I hear you man. I’m the opposite as you can tell. In these situations I hug my dog.
  14. Just wanna remind everyone that many of us wanted Jed gone in like 2023.
  15. I’m not sure I even want the Cubs to make the playoffs.
  16. It’s really beyond belief. There is no one. Civale for now but I’ll bet that’s short term success.
  17. I can honestly say at this moment I hate both of these teams equally.
  18. God the exit velo on that was 110 and looked like 120
  19. Imagine a world where a 2 run lead in the 9th is a comfy position to be.
