    Yes. The Cubs aren’t even the best team in Chicago right now.

    I have no answer at all why an offense that was clicking in most areas suddenly can’t get it done. I guess the pitching downturn can at least partly be explained by regression to the mean. But these bats should be producing and they just aren’t right now. Bregman feels like a signing where it takes awhile to get comfortable in his new team and league. I’m hoping that’s the case and he picks up soon. The rest though? WTF.

    Right now it feels like the Cubs have zero chance of scoring much less winning against this team. But I get it. Last year we were like the only team to play decent against them.

    The WS aren’t a great team but they aren’t bad. Cubs are tied with Cincy for the worst road record in the division which surprises me given 2 10 game winning streaks. But here we are.

    Hard to believe we’ve gone from dumpster fire Ben out of the pen to MVP Ben starter. But I’m super glad to see it. These bats have got to start producing again. In fairness we were playing a great team in their building.
