    If they are ever going to take control back and remove Warren, now’s the time. Think of how weak it looks if they let themselves be led all the way down this path, disagreeing the whole time, but just letting it happen anyway.

    I think it’s over. Our 2 big acquisitions failed, top starters went down, and the hitting all slumped at once. Couldn’t overcome it. That will be the story written about 2026.

    I’m looking at the list of teams since 1969 who had more than 1 double digit winning streak. Most of them finished with over 100 wins. The Brewers of 1987 were the worst, finishing a mere 20 games above .500 The Cubs are going to make history this year for the wrong reasons.

    I miss the real Nico and hope for his swift return. I have no idea who is wearing his uniform right now.

    My thought is we won’t see the Bears actually leave for a new stadium until the 2030’s regardless where it is. Took sofi 6 1/2 years from the time of site selection to opening game. That puts us 2033 season, best case.

    Seems like the easiest thing ever that Kelly should know there wouldn’t be a fastball on the first pitch. Yet he sells out fastball.

    Bregman looks so bad. If you didn’t know he was a vet you’d think his demotion to AAA was imminent.

    I don’t think anyone in the organization is happy with this. I’m flabbergasted right now. I didn’t think this would happen at all. The whiplash is the most extreme I can remember in my sports existence. But here we are.
