  1. I couldn’t watch HP/WI because of a massive time difference. So I get to pretend it never happened. I am on record saying they can beat anyone when they’re on and lose to anyone when they aren’t. I guess that’s what happens when you live on the 3 and your inside game is trash.
  2. FWIW reading the comments on that article nearly everyone is saying Schefty was talking about cap space. I didn’t read it that way. When you say the team is “broke” that doesn’t scream cap space to me but anyway, there was a ton of backlash on the article.
  3. As a Badgers fan, that call was beyond bad.
  4. I’m still upset about that. Apparently even Ryan said he’s not the primary decision maker. The NFL made the decision based on what’s written on a piece of paper rather than the actual job descriptions.
  5. Looks like the Ravens just wanted to kick the tires, see for themselves how that knee looked. It makes you wonder if it’s worse than was reported. The Ravens are a savvy organization. Raiders aren’t. LV got played by a better org.
  6. I’m glad we didn’t do 2 1st rounders for him. That does seem to be the standard price to pay for top tier at that position. Let’s see what we can do elsewhere. It would be nice to shore up the interior DL because stopping the run was also an issue. We were 27th. Broncos and Seahawks were 2nd and 3rd.
  7. They like Poles too. All the leaders get high marks. I wonder how that compares to the past. I don’t know what goes into the low family score but of course they should take notice and address it.
  8. It was a rough day for my Canadian co-workers. Days like this I bite my tongue because I value my work relationships and they really do bleed for hockey. Team Canada did outplay us. Those two open net gimmes will haunt them forever. One knocked offline with a prayer flick of the stick and the other a point blank miss by a great player. That said (and Krazy Kash aside), I nearly lost my mind when Hughes buried the winner! 🇺🇸
  9. I think that’s a great idea. I wonder if something like that has been tossed on the ideas table at some point. It would seem to be one more chip that could be played. Gonna take a lot of chips.
  10. Damn Canucks... I have coworkers from Canada. They were all butthurt yesterday over the women, now they're skipping around with glee. They think it's 100% in the bag. Man would I love to shut them up.
  11. Yep yep. There are the smokestacks, billowing in the background. I can see the meme posts now. This is what we get for decades of loyal support. A superfund stadium. There’s, like, a major lead poisoning problem in that area. Even if it’s not proven to be leaking on to that site you think parents are going to take the fam there? I realize I’m being overly emotional but this is soul-crushing in my view. This is way worse than the mistake by the lake and I didn’t think that was possible.
  12. Damn them to hell if they drag us across the border because I can’t not be a Bears fan and I don’t want anything but Bears football in Chicago. To be frank, AH was already stretching it for me but I was willing to be OK with it because the museum campus isn’t ideal for several reasons. But Hammond / Gary is out of bounds, literally and figuratively. It’s a nightmare if it happens. I won’t forgive them.
  13. I enjoy skiing. It’s also person vs the course. And by extension person vs conditions. I love ski jumping too.
  14. It’s a good crowd there. My wife kept asking me why they were wearing wigs 😀
  15. Missed Illini free throws was a huge factor last night. These were 80%+ guys clanking. I was like, OK I’ll take it. I didn’t know about the Illini injuries.
  16. I know the Badgers have flaws and are unranked for a reason but when they get hot they can slay some pretty good teams.
  17. They probably had Chiefs / Eagles in the Super Bowl too.
  18. The two times per year I try to catch up on popular music is New Year's Eve and the Super Bowl (I'm old). It was an interesting show. I already know what Brantley Gilbert and Kid Rock are all about as musical acts. It might not have been my stuff (I'm a metal fan through and through) but hey - it was kind of cool. The halftime show was miles more entertaining than that turd of a football game.
  19. Yeah that’s not passing the smell test. Teams figure it out all the time. They reached for JJ and made it worse by doubling down after getting lucky finding Darnold. It’s worth noting JJ isn’t 100% a bust yet. Who knows maybe a light bulb goes off and he becomes serviceable. It could happen. Before he suffered the injury he was playing better.
  20. For the Jets, Darnold is proof their organization is poison for good players. For the Vikings Darnold represents an opportunity to build a champion team, willfully thrown into the toilet in favor of a project.
  21. I don’t think they’ll give it to a kicker. I would think it’s Walker. I’m loving the misery vibes coming from Vikings fans right now.
  22. I don’t think it’s true but Maye will face the “is he a fraud” questions all offseason.
  23. Well that’s it.
