    It's the same need to exorcise the demons that we felt during the 2015 - 2017 Cubs run. @jumboAgreed, I'll stop using that. I hadn't thought about it that way, LOL.

    That's how I've felt about BJ since very early on. Even when Caleb was really struggling, I felt like BJ would guide the team to success with another QB if it came to that. The quality of coaching is a quantum leap from what we have consistently seen. It's obvious to anyone, even outsiders who don't really follow the Bears. But yeah. This is a different Bears. We have the infrastructure in place now to win, and win for more than one season.

    You can bank on the Brewers finding random guys off the street who will put up great numbers though. That much is 100%

    What about all the talk about coordinators? Hiring internally on the cheap and not hiring potentially better candidates.

    I read that article and they make it sound like the Packers keep bungling coaching hires year after year. They’ve had consistent success since Holmgren, through two HOF QBs, HC changes, numerous coordinator changes. They rarely miss a beat unless they suffer a QB outage (who wouldn’t). It’s just bizarre to read their perspective on things. Every year it’s another playoff run and they act like the team is struggling to keep up with the league.

    I get that he makes some mistakes, but when the rest of game has been subpar it makes every single decision in the late game way more important than it should be. The solution is to play 60 minutes of solid football, or at least wake the hell up before the 4th quarter. Then a questionable decision on a 4th down isn't make-or-break.
