    Would you rather have any of our pitchers starting twice in a 7 game series, or Miz? It absolutely matters having a true shutdown starter or two over guys who could pitch well.

    Safe to say we got as much as could be expected from Boyd. He’s toast now.

    This is the part where I’m supposed to remain calm and optimistic.

    Philly just won again. W7 We can’t afford to play at an expected level for the rest of the season. If 2-4 is understandable, we’d better go 4-2. Other teams will exceed expectations down the stretch.

    I’ll take it too. It just so happens we have the best team in baseball ahead of us and that adds pressure to win all the time because they will. Imagine how awesome it would be to be in the AL Central or AL West.

    I realize this is baseball but it doesn’t make it any less frustrating to have 2 hits and 0 runs heading into to the 7th.

    Some moron was assessing recently that ABS has shown once and for all just how good the umps are at calling balls and strikes. I wanted to jump through the TV screen. Now I just want to tie him in a chair, tape his eyes open, and make him watch this game.

    Nothing says “I’m not seeing the ball” quite like a strike call way out of the zone and not a hint of challenge.
