  1. Bears NFC North champs!!!
  2. You’re probably right. It would be interesting to see (not for Packer fans obviously) what would happen if Willis was the guy for an extended period, and teams developed a gameplan specifically designed to stop him.
  3. I’m about ready to declare Willis is straight up better than Love. Miscue wasn’t his fault. Arm looks stronger. He’s more mobile.
  4. It’s definitely going around.
  5. Willis looks great.
  6. Texans look great.
  7. I don’t understand how winning a playoff series and coming within a game of the NLCS is setting expectations extremely low. I consider it successful because I see improvement from the year before and so the trajectory is heading in the right direction. It was a playoff team with some success once they got there. Yes, I’m expecting more moving forward but the question was confined to this season. If we win 92 next year and the same question is asked I probably give a different answer.
  8. The cap isn’t real. Go get him.
  9. Not having Kittle would be a big boost for us. I was assuming he would gut it out. These last two games are critical and the 1 seed is still on the table.
  10. At least we get one of the two back. Really want Odunze but Burden is helpful.
  11. Jordan Love ruled out. Willis is also nursing a shoulder injury but will start. Lamar also likely out for the Ravens. Looks like a battle of the backups.
  12. Why can't I be both? This team is a love/hate obsession for me (and I dare say most of us). Today it's being thankful for a playoff appearance that wasn't a flash in the pan. Tomorrow it will be disappointment at missing out on a player that I feel could really change the trajectory of the upcoming season. I think most us oscillate back n' forth. I was all over the map last year, LOL.
  13. I want it in SF of course but yeah, we have to beat this team and if that means another game in the playoffs so be it.
  14. Well, we started this discussion with you not knowing BJ’s name, then we moved on to you not really watching yesterday’s game, and now we’re at the point where you have a lot to say about things you don’t know, by your own admission. Yeah, I think we are done here.
  15. They bring the blitz way more often that other teams. They went a long stretch without allowing a passing touchdown this season. They cause chaos. I don't know that it explains all of their games but it has to help when you can't move the ball on offense.
  16. So at the end of the year will you still remove this game from their stats? Let's remove the first Bears game then since we get to remove a game. If I do that they drop to 28.7. I just don't think you can take a game out of their results. They were undressed yesterday. It counts. I watched as the Vikings just mauled DC's offense. No, it wasn't a fluky 6 TOs. It was totally legit, it will factor into their totals this year, and the loss of BJ has had a lot to do with their drop-off from league elite to mediocre.
  17. Really can't believe I have to spell this out for you. The Bears' head coach is Ben Johnson. It's kind of a tell that you didn't recognize that. Wouldn't you agree? You are using the most generalized statistic available to support the idea that the Lions' offense is fine with the loss of Ben Johnson. You can't just ignore yesterday, where DC was severely outcoached by the Vikings. You can't just ignore the more specific stats that show their efficiencies have dropped from last year (see cwood's post). DC is a head coach who couldn't rely on his OC to call plays, so he took that over. Two things have resulted. The offense isn't as good because BJ is a better offensive mind. And the defense has fallen off too, which you'd expect. What is your explanation for the rather incredible drop from 15-2 to 8-8 (with one game remaining)?
  18. Dude, please. Check your sh!t. Happy to have a discussion with you but tie down the basics.
  19. It sounds like you are still upset that BJ beat Mark LaFleur.
  20. 2024: 83-79 2025: 92-70 Im calling it a success and on a trajectory upwards. Counsell increased his win totals in each of his first 4 seasons with the Brewers, and then more or less sustained success for several seasons once the team was built. I’m choosing to look at it through that lens. The Cubs want to build a successful small market team in a big market, so they spent their money on the small market manager.
  21. I doubt it is yet. But I’ll bet people are thinking they lost the biggest key to success when BJ left and DC couldn’t fill that gap. Also, while Goff can be good it’s clear that he can’t really create. He needs the play calls to be better than the defense. Vikings stripped him the eff down tonight.
  22. Lions laid the biggest, stinkiest turd imaginable.
  23. I honestly didn’t know Larrivee’s roots were the Packers so it felt like betrayal at the time. I always liked his play-by-play. He’s better than Joniak but I’d rather have a worse guy who actually likes the team and isn’t pretending for a paycheck. These local football broadcasts are better when they are biased and cheesy. Just my opinion. Larrivee is better. Joniak is my choice.
  24. I don’t know. I’m not sure which 49ers we are going to get. I understand they have injuries but even with the Colts in full retreat, what I saw was impressive. McCaffrey looked unstoppable and it was because there were huge holes for him to run through. Purdy was on target with quick reads that don’t allow any kind of pass rush. Hope I’m wrong. I don’t see the Bears going to SF and beating them. Assuming Kittle guts it out, I’ll take a TD off their avg points during their win streak. 27 - 24 49ers. Close but no cigar. We absolutely destroy the bummed out Lions in the final game. 34-10 Bears in that one.
