  1. Bears must score 30+ to have a shot in this one. I also think we will need the run game to establish long clock eating drives. Having the TOP advantage will be important.
  2. Block Hannity.
  3. Seems to be a lot of that going around these days.
  4. The Mayor doesn't seem to fully understand what's happening...
  5. Trade Hoerner and lose his marvelous running 'round 3rd and home? Oh hell no.
  6. I thought I had gone insane thinking I totally missed that Hoerner was our SS last year.
  7. Bregman won the gold glove in 2024. His defense can't be that bad bruh. Last year he was 800+ OPS, 128 OPS+, and (not sure anyone cares anymore) an all star. His numbers are improvements over 2023 and 2024. So there's no indication he's falling off a cliff due to age. Look, nobody can predict this year. I was incredibly disappointed with Tucker's 2nd half last year. I didn't see that coming. Admittedly we had him as a rental but also that meant we had to replace him immediately. I just don't think the argument that Bregman's somehow a product of cheating is particularly compelling. Nor is the argument that his defense is bad, or that we are now choosing between him and Shaw since Shaw is still on the team (as of right now). Counsell creates opportunities for his bench to get play time as well. A utility guy with exceptional defense that can be plugged in strategically? Yes please. Bregman's expensive. Cubs are a huge market team and it was about damn time they spent a little money. Don't worry about the Ricketts, dude. They're fine.
  8. That was a clickbait article to be sure. And it worked too.
  9. Can't wait for Collinsworth to bag on Caleb if he misses a throw like the 4th down one. "I know it was the world's most difficult throw and nobody else would even try it, but it was off target."
  10. I agree. How do you piece together a 10 win season with Justin Fields and Russell Wilson? Another 10 wins with Pickett, Rudolph, and Trubisky. I mostly have a distaste for their fans (which flows from my brother in law but that’s another story). But Tomlin was good and he will coach next year if he wants to.
  11. It will 100% be our last memory.
  12. Wooohooo!
  13. That INT was grade A stinky. Who is wearing Stroud’s uniform tonight?
  14. Glue horse Rodgers doesn’t really need to be hit to get a sack. Sometimes he just stumbles and falls.
  15. “My wife told me do not address this.” 🤣🤣 That’s the capper.
  16. Here’s Ben’s quote on it. Why the hell not? They hate us too. So what? It’ll make next year’s games even more fun. ”"Like I said before, there's a rivalry that exists between these two teams, something that I fully recognize and I'm a part of," he said. "I mean, I just... I don't like that team. So, [owner] George [McCaskey] and I have talked, and we're on the same page."
  17. Completion percentage is great but it seems a little bit like batting average. Sure if you make contact more often it's great, but it loses its luster if they are all singles. I can't remember where I found it, but Caleb's up there in terms of yards per completion. Sure I'd love for the Comp% to go up but only if he keeps the chunk plays intact. I don't want him obsessing over his sub 60% comp and just checking down. I don't think he will. Dude's a monster. He's looking to slay defenses all the time. That's why he doesn't run very often. He's cold as hell -- wants to rip your heart out over and over.
  18. That’s all part of the Green Bay collapse, the Bears “not doing s***”
  19. I mean didn't the Chiefs do this all the way to a Super Bowl championship? Caleb is in no way accomplished enough to be compared to Mahomes....yet. But just in terms of the sustainability of comebacks, I feel like those can be an integral part of a team's long term success provided it speaks to the talent, especially at the quarterback position. We will see. I don't want to completely discount the notion that it's not sustainable because we haven't yet seen it sustained for long enough. But a lot of these arguments amount to "X team lost because they didn't play good enough to win." It's just that the person making the argument isn't accepting that. It's the luck argument but put into different terms. Saturday the Packers: 1) lost the 2nd half decidedly in multiple facets of the game, 2) were fooled on defense by a number of well-adjusted Ben Johnson calls that built on the 1st half, 3) missed field goals/XP because they have a kicker who isn't very good, 4) generated very little pass rush because they lost their best pass rusher to injury and injuries are something every team deals with, and 5) couldn't stop the QB who has authored the most 4th quarter jaw-dropping comebacks in the league this year.
  20. The whining up here in Wisconsin. My goodness. After 3 decades of having their way they lose a couple big games and turn into pouty children.
  21. Chargers have a long history of power outages in the playoffs. Looks like Harbaugh hasn’t been able to change that…yet
  22. He’s a good story but I agree.
  23. If there is such a thing as cold weather advantage then I guess the Rams would be better. I don’t really care though. They are both Super Bowl champions under their current coach & QB. Bears need to beat a really good team and that team won’t be thinking of the Bears as a pushover.
  24. Damn shame about Trapilo. How horrible would that be for him. And the Bears of course, but more so for him. Here’s hoping he can beat the odds.
