  1. Watching Shaw go oppo is such a wonderful feeling. The dude looks like a Nico clone. Hitting 101 at its finest!
  2. Is there a world where the cost-cutting Twins would trade Pablo Lopez to us? Is there another world where we would want Buxton and the Twins would want Caissie and Alcantara? It seems to be a decent to good fit in my estimation, but the age old question, "what do I know?", instantly comes to mind. Thoughts?
  3. I do not think that they are done by any stretch. In fact, I am guessing that another starter will either be signed or traded for. This will certainly be interesting to watch unfold. Jason Ross, what say you?
  4. Best news of the day, for me. Now I have to cling to the hope that there is no qualifying offer being extended that he accepts. When your "ace" is benched in the playoffs, one must reconsider if he really has an ace. Next free agent up...
  5. Am I the only one that does not want the Cubs brass to pick up that 20 million dollar Shota option?
  6. At least we snagged super-utility bat Willie Castro at the trade deadline. What a great get that was (sarcasm noted).
  7. They might be saying the same thing about Assad. On another note, the Brewers win again.
  8. This is the mediocre, 6th starter, swingman, 4-A level Javier Assad that I have been waiting for all season, and like clockwork, the hype equals my hope. Yuck.
  9. I keep telling myself that they are using all of their baseball mojo in August and will somehow deplete that supply in September. I look at that roster with squinted eyes and I am relegated to simply tipping my cap. This streak that they are on is nothing short of amazing, especially when I see their nightly box score. Not a fan, just flabbergasted.
  10. Sandy Alcantara gets hit hard once again, and in the privacy of my own space, I uttered a sinister laugh.
  11. Are we at a place in time where we can start casting some shade on Counsell? The Brewers have been better without him; and in fairness, we seem incredibly flat and defeated with him.
