What I should be doing with a 92 win team, knowing the playoffs are a dumb dice roll:

I actually think what you are doing, is justified. I am doing the same thing. I know the playoffs are a dice roll, but even a dice roll upsets me when it doesn’t go as I want it to. The first photo is what fans of teams winning are doing.

Because You’re a fan. Did you do a slow clap when PCA caught the third out in the 9th vs the Padres like Tiger after making a put for a birdie in a PGA tournament because the variance Gods were on the Cubs side?

Hell, even if they don't win, I just want to see the Cubs beat up on Brewers' pitcher.  As Jason and other pitching gurus have pointed out Priester is exactly the profile the Cubs feast upon.

A lot more fist pumping than slow clapping. Again, same reaction as I would have when a roll of the dice goes my way for a big win.

Just hoping for a competitive game at this point. If they are ok with winning a playoff game once every 10 years they gotta make it interesting at least

Do we know, if the Cubs win today and Dodgers beat the Phillies, would tomorrow's game time be moved up at all?

God I hope so. 9pm est starts for Cubs/Brewers are stupid as hell.

Let's just try to get out of the 1st inning without giving up multiple runs before we talk about an IF game time

I was wondering that as well. I’ve been in the mountain time zone for this series, which has been pleasant, but I’d be pissed about the 8 o’clock start times if I was back home.

I think it’s fair to ponder. A lot of us have invested a lot of time following this team since March. They’ve won 3 in a row plenty of times this year.

I can't find a specific article that confirms this, but I think if there's only one game tomorrow (regardless of matchup) it's at 7 pm ET.

On the one hand, yes. On the other hand, for just a last gasp of entertainment, giving the fans an extra hour before the game to 'warm up' coming off a win today would maybe be our last chance at seeing that fully amped Wrigley crowd. Think the team is going to have to do it themselves today.

Would be a perfect day for Imanaga to start off of 6 days rest, which could of happened if Counsell didn't start Boyd Game1. 🙄
