  1. He seems to wear down a bit during the season. Not a bad idea to have a six man rotation of give him more rest on the front end of the season. He's a good pitcher - but he doesn't have much room for performance decreases/ebb and flow.
  2. Wasn’t Johnson drafted by the Cubs a million years ago?
  3. Not gonna make it for this one. Hopefully I wake up to good news.
  4. Keply is going to have to slug above .400 or ML pitchers will throw him meatballs and let him hit it as far as he can.
  5. I'm glad the Cubs won, but not just Counsel, it seems like a lot of managers don't recognize the obvious signs a pitcher is gassed. Two games in a row now, he's left the starter in an inning too long.
  6. Did anyone ask CC why he left Gausman in so long when he was clearly gassed on a 100 degree heat index day?
  7. The length of this offense is remarkable when everyone is hitting. Almost unstoppable.
  8. The NFL and NBA owners made a conscious decision to grant equity to players and build a true partnership. You think the baseball owners are going to do that? Hoping and wishing by the fans is what will put pressure on the players to take a bad deal. Instead, we should be 100% behind the players about getting a fair share. The only way a cap will work is if the owners don't play record-label games with the players over profits.
  9. Unnecessary is a way of life, my friend.
  10. Cease is going to haunt the Cubs until he retires. What a dumb trade that was.
  11. I think that guy used to be a regular on here who was really sour but had some knowledge.
  12. What is wrong with you? Their competitive advantage is they have smart people in key positions doing great work. Nothing MLB can do about that.
  13. I really hope they don't trade Pedro unless it's for a really good starting pitcher who's not on the edge of FA.
  14. Before anyone gets their undies in a bunch - I don't think anyone is an Asaad hater. I'm mostly joking with these posts. But I do think he's a very useful pitcher to have on a team. It seems like every really good team has one or two Asaad type pitchers.
  15. Suck it again Asaad haters. He's the type of pitcher who has a 15-year career in MLB, and no one can understand why. It's because more often than not, he's going to keep you in the game.
  16. Why is it bad for the sport? They are the smartest organization with some of the best draft and development people in baseball.
  17. I wouldn't be surprised if it's the Dodgers or the Braves.
