  1. Is it time to be sellers if Cabrera’s injury is season ending? Realistically they have no shot, and it makes little sense to sell the future for a present that looks untenable
  2. The medical staff is not responsible for his elbow tendons looking like spaghetti.
  3. Because you are selectively applying whatever criteria you think you have. RISP hitting is about the same as hitting without RISP across a career. The problem is you have a sampling error that you are turning into a skill or something.
  4. They aren’t a bad team. They are a Jed Hoyer production. It’s the same every year. on the plus side, there are only a handful of teams who are trying. The rest of the owners are waiting to get all the money after the next CBA.
  5. Since I stopped paying attention and watching/listening to games, they are doing better. I'm going to continue not paying attention or listening/watching games.
  6. Titanic and deck chairs? I don’t think so, but at the same time the Ricketts will find a clone. They’ve changed/overhauled the development team. I see that as a sign he’s here for the long term. Jed is a B-grade administrator who is a company man. He has to be to stay in his job. They could do a lot worse and only a little better. I would not shed a tear if they fired him (they won’t), but do not have any confidence the Ricketts would do better.
  7. Lorenzen lowered his ERA half a point last time he faced our Cobs.
  8. Neither. It's being pushed as some sort of equalization process for baseball, but there is no evidence that a salary cap produces a flatter field. In reality, it's a money grab by billionaires who don't want to share with millionaires.
  9. Loveland - catches and touchdowns Rome - yards
  10. I don’t k ow what they can do besides fire coaches and that’s probably up to Craig.
  11. Lorenzen has an 8 ERA and the only one to put wood on him is PCA.
  12. Nothing makes any sense. They sunk a good chunk of money into AH already and are now going to be left with a lot. They may be able to develop it in some way, but in real estate profit is long term in less you are flipping in a hot market. Am I correct in assuming they won’t own the property in Hammond?
  13. Yes, he's he seems to hit a lot of lasers right at people.
  14. Trump is going to curse them.
  15. What happened to Arlington heights?
  16. I'd say Skubal, but only if they think they can work out a long-term contract with him. Also, maybe get creative and trade Suzuki or some other current starter for a cost-controlled SP who can slide into the rotation this season or next. Jed needs to show some imagination this deadline.
  17. I think Happ, Jamo, and Suzuki will be our main trade pieces at the deadline, lol. <This is a joke and not meant to be taken seriously>
  18. Snake bitten this team is. They will come out of it, but I hope the hole isn't too deep.
  19. IRL, that team would 1) win every game, 2) beat the ever living horsefeathers out of other teams physically, and 3) steal everyone's girlfriend.
