I'm sorry about making a somber post but my father passed away on Friday. He was the person who got me into Cubs baseball. My favorite memories of him was the two of us watching Cubs baseball and opening boxes of cards. He loved pulling Andre Dawson cards back in the day. My favorite pull was Ryne Sandberg.
When most of us was filled with "glass case of emotions" during the 2016 World Series, he was the most even keeled Cubs fan I knew. If he ever got nervous about that series, he never showed it. I'm glad he got to see 2016.
Watching Cubs baseball is helping me through my grief.
Again, I want to apologize for the somber post but I needed a place to vent a little bit.
RIP Dad.
