Of course I want Jed to be in on and then land Skubal but do you think the Cubs are going to spend 350/400m on a pitcher? They have not even broke 200m on a position player yet.
They have lost what Sterns, Counsell, Hader, Williams, Burnes, Adames, over the last few years and they just keep coming. So, losing Peralta, likely won't mean anything to them.
The one prospect that I dream the most on becoming the super dooper superstar was Corey Patterson. While he did have serviceable career but he should have been more.
Others include: Luis Montanez, Ryan Harvey. Brett Jackson and Josh Vitters. Not to mentioned others that have already been mentioned in this thread.
The talent is there but I think I will let him walk. Brisker has already said that despite his concussions, he is not going to change the way he plays.
I like to think of it as Caleb running him out of the NFC North. That he decided that he would rather face Allen/Maye and whoever Jets put out there than face Caleb again. It's not true, I know that but I prefer to think it.
He has had more than a few career years. I think most people don't realize how good Stafford is because he spent so many years on some really crappy Lions teams.
I'm as disappointed as anybody but given how the Bears started and where they ended up, I am beyond thrilled about the development of this team.
We have a HC and most importantly, we have a QB. Ryan Poles you have 52 days.
Thuney played LT for the Chiefs on their run to the Super Bowl. So I don't think it's insane to put Thuney at LT. in fact between Thuney, Theo and Braxton, Thuney might be the Bears best option at LT.
My concern is LG. Can Luke Newman or Jordan McFadden handle that spot?
