So I see the Cubs bullpen decided to give my blood pressure the night off. I thank you, bullpen.

And I know just get in. Once in, the records reset to 0 and it's a new season.

Only the Cubs can make a 99 percent chance of making the playoffs feel more like 1% chance.

Cubs have to slug their way to the playoffs. Even then, it might not be enough.

I will not root for the Cubs to miss the playoffs (which will probably cost PCA the MVP) but I won't be surprise or angry if it happens. I am starting to prepare myself for football season.

It's why I am more than ok with walking away from Shoda this off-season. I like the dude, and he is a good ML pitcher (despite the HR's) but he is better suited for a bigger park than Wrigley.

Which is stupid because PCA, I believe, never took an at-bat with the Mets organization. So how do you (Mets, in this case) know he would "never hit enough?" That Mets GM did PCA a big time favor by trading him.

Barring a epic collapse by the Brewers (LOL, I know), I think the division is pretty much done. I mean you work hard enough to get within 3 games of the Brewers in then in short order you drop four games in the standings. That's something Cubs.

For some reason the Brewers have the Dodgers number during the regular season. Which means Cubs need to take care of business against the Cardinals and don't expect help from the Dodgers.
