  1. I was this close to turning it off then, the Knicks went on little run to cut the deficit to 11-13. I thought if they can get within single digits in next few minutes this could be something so, I kept watching...
  2. I have a really strong dislike for Castle, don't appreciate his hack a second, grab and hold style, it's the horsefeathers he learned at UConn or rather, UFoul.
  3. Think it was Bryant.
  4. Wasn't there also an instance were one of Spurs took a running start and trucked SGA with no flagrant?
  5. I don't why teams tolerate this horsefeathers from him. Surprised a team hasn't obliterated him.
  6. Firstly, I rather be watching hockey but, as the Stanley Cup isn't a 9 or 11 game series, I'm left with the NBA Finals. Don't really have a rooting interest however, I do not understand why the Knicks aren't going after Wembanyama. The Spurs are pounding Brunson, beating the piss out of him and the Knicks aren't responding. Hell, the 90's Pistons even, the Bulls, would have pounded Wembanyama into submission by now.
  7. I thought at least one of Vegas goals was soft what did you think?
  8. Carolina kind of started the finals in the same manner as their conference finals. To those with better hockey knowledge than I what are the Hurricanes chances? Vegas appears to playing well, besides the PP, everything is clicking for them.
  9. Could it be Three Floyds? Although, I don't know how you get George Floyd from Three Floyds.
  10. At this point screw the Brewers and baseball, I'm done wasting rooting interest in the Cubs. Stanley Cup finals started last night, NBA finals tonight, after these, can't wait for football and college BB. We'll have the Bears who are at least as good as the Packers, if not, better. And the Illini (college BB) who >>>> than Wisconsin. I also have the PLL on the weekends along with me playing in an old man' lacrosse league on Monday nights. I suspect there are some golfers amongst us and summer golf leagues have fired up.
  11. From a stuff prospective Skubal > Webb however, I believe you're correct regarding cost controlled. Didn't consider this aspect hence, as you suggested, Ray, Gray, etc. are more likely.
  12. I believe the discussions of Skubal or anyone else of his ilk are academic, Hoyer has never paid the costs for such a trade. And, never will. Should be talking more Robbie Ray type or perhaps, Logan Webb - an uptick, clearly not in Skubal tier.
  13. That's completely sense-less, taking away the pitch that made him attractive in the first place? It's beyond stupid.
  14. Still trying to figure out what made Wicks a 1st round draft choice, there must have been something, right?
  15. Game's over, we know this, what really has me pissed off is Bregman. He must be amongst the worst in all of baseball with RISP, doesn't matter, 0, 1 or 2 outs. Soft or no contact time and again, move him down in the order, give him some time off, something has to be done.
  16. Don't know the seriousness of the his back issues given, since the last Cub's update, he's basically disappeared from the face of the Earth. I'd gather the back issues are significant being so, he probably has little value. Wiggins and Horton? Little to value whatsoever, can't stay healthy enough to be worth anything.
  17. When you think about it this may be it for Wicks. He'll never have a better opportunity, if can't take advantage of this situation the Cubs may be done with him.
  18. In a season where most everything has gone wrong for the Cubs it'd be awfully nice if Wicks could step up. If he string together several good appearances maybe, with Boyd' and Cabrera' returns. Taillon could be shot into the Sun?
  19. Indeed, along with whole offense. I believe Caleb and the Bears' offense is going nuclear on the NFL this upcoming season.
  20. First game of this series as well, Cubs smoked several balls with nothing to show. It's baseball, we all knew the Cubs being on bad end of batted ball luck was going to stop at some point.
  21. Apparently, Kyler Gordon was in attendance, going through drills.
  22. It's probably best to remove Wiggins, Horton and Steele from the equation and thought process altogether. Focus on who's actually healthy and playing, if, by some miracle, either of them make it back, great. Still not worth the effort to count on guys who can't stay available.
  23. For certain they've been missing on meat balls, how many times has Suzuki rolled over hanging breaking balls? Seems like every at bat he gets pitches to crush and makes a feeble out. It's not like their facing high quality pitching. They didn't vs Houston and haven't against Pittsburgh, just not hitting anything period.
  24. We know back injuries effectively ended the career of Bryant, this poor kid hasn't even had a career and is already dealing with a back injury. What's concerning is the Cubs saying, in March, his injury would delay his season for a month. It's been 2+ months and he's no where to found, almost as if he doesn't exist.
