  1. And who were they going to draft at 57? All of the potentially impact EDGE's were literally gone now, one could argue Poles should have moved up. He probably tried, we don't know. Given this you might as well take a player who has the potential to be impactful regardless of position. I believe that's what the Bears did.
  2. Is safe to say the Lions and Vikings with two reaches have strengthen the pool for the Bears at 25?
  3. Yep, 2.5 hours until the Bears pick was the correct call. First ten took about an one hour, next ten probably will take another hour, then 20-30 minutes to the Bears' slot.
  4. I don't get it, trade up only 3 spots, giving up two other picks.
  5. Watch the end of Giants-Dodgers, they announced the Cubs' starters over the weekend and it was...not inspiring. Well, at least, Friday' and Saturday' starters.
  6. That game was annoying, I know it's the Brewers and all. But, come on Perkins, Matos, Ortiz and Hamilton doing damage vs. Skubal? Give me a horsefeathers break, bad is bad, it's going to catch Brewers. Through in Sanchez as well, he's cooked.
  7. Well, guess I'll watch all of Sabres-Bruins and the start of Avalanche-Kings before the Bears pick.
  8. Was thinking it's probably easier to find a reliever who can be effective in the short term than a starter? Given this, I guess, it's fortunate a RP went down as as opposed to a SP.
  9. It's going to be, what, 1.5 hours until the Bears pick? Well, at least I can watch Sabres-Bruins until they pick.
  10. Appeared Dansby' ball ends the game no matter where the Phillies' OF are playing. Hell yeah!!!!
  11. I was very confident Bregman was going to end it, so to were the Phillies.
  12. Are any of the currently IL'ed pitchers going to be back soon? Like, maybe, before June?
  13. I don't blame Webb, it was all on Milner' inability to throw strikes, he had control problems his last time out as well. If Milner can't throw strikes he serves no purpose.
  14. Given they're not the Brewers, I think it's safe to say they're done. Good chance they'll be sellers.
  15. Was hoping the Mets losing streak would hit 13, too bad they won. Don't believe the Mets are going to recover even with Soto' return. There's just something off with that team, something missing. Maybe it's no Alonso.
  16. Thought of that as well, who might be looking to trade up? Appears the Packers, Falcons, Jaguars, Broncos, Colts and Bengals are without a 1st, Packers won't be interested in trading with the Bears. Might the remaining teams be looking to get back into the first round? Guess, that depends on their boards and the way the draft falls.
  17. Given this year's draft pool, if the Bears, at 25, trade down, it would be into the 2nd-4th Rds, correct? Maybe, not such a bad idea, the player they'll get at 25 won't be much different than those available in the 2nd, 3rd or 4th. Could the pick at 25 get, say, a 2nd and a 4th? If so, address the DL need with the highest 2nd, then look at some combination of DB, DL, OL-T/G, OL-C, LB, RB and WR with the remaining picks - think that makes a total of 8 picks.
  18. Cardinals are definitely a false positive, they'll regress, not too worried about them. Pirates have shades of being a false positive as well, pitching is very good, line up is terrible, what happens if one or more of their arms goes down? Reds are probably genuinely good and the Brewers, well, doesn't matter what key players get hurt. Anyone and everyone they throw out on the field produces.
  19. Heck yeah! This was the big one in terms of at least splitting the series.
  20. Every draft they should take at least one OL. After OB, OL's are amongst the important part of the team, have to keep stockpiling.
  21. Guess the Illini are out of the Blackwell sweepstakes, I'm okay with this development. Even though it's not my money I never thought Blackwell is worth the price tag. He's more a product Gard' system than anything else, still, I'd like to see them add another player.
  22. Look at it this way, if the Mets are in need of Melendez to coming up big for them they may never win another game.
  23. Victor Diaz nonsense was far worse, at least 2015 was in playoffs and the Mets were actually a good team. Victor Diaz' HR was quite literally the only noteworthy thing he did in a very short MLB career.
  24. His injury history might be a contributing factor.
