    I think it best to forget about Cade Horton altogether, with the surgery, chances of re-injury. He should be removed from the equation of the Cubs future. Which, of course, is unfortunate and really sucks, it's the price teams pay for velocity. He'll more likely end up as one of those guys who never pitches again because he can't keep of the injured list. Than someone who makes it all the way back.

    Phillies getting the horsefeathers kicked out of them again, down 7-0 going into the home half of the 6th.

    Glad that's over, this thing with the Mets the lead off man reaching every inning was getting really horsefeathers annoying.

    Yeah, he's got major Ryan Pressley/Hector Neris vibes about him. Pitching analytics might tell a different story.

    Let Michigan be #1, let them deal with pressure, spotlight, all that horsefeathers. Although, if one or both of Mara and Johnson declare for the draft. It'd be hard for the Illini not to #1.

    When Happ is not hitting big situations always seem to find him. I'd move him down in the order until he starts hitting.

    Indeed, if they lose out on Blackwell, they'll add someone else, have seen they're on an NC State transfer. If not him, they'll bring on someone.

    Just sucks, was well on his way to the HOF and one of the best Cubs' ever, completely tragic. A career taken by injuries.

    Ty Rodgers to the portal, think he was informed there are not many avenues for playing time? I have think the staff try to be honest and possibly encourage him to look elsewhere for a better fit. I would have liked for him to stay, might be in his best interest to move on.

    Michigan kept blabbing about their team wide chemistry all season. Now, I know the idea of team chemistry doesn't mean much without actual good players, doesn't hurt though. And, I believe the Illini may be building on good team chemistry along with good players. I'd really like to see Underwood build his generational, once in a coaching life time team like May did last season. Don't know if he'll be able match what May did but, something close should be enough to perhaps, get Illinois that championship.

    Be it tipping his pitches or not, the Cubs laying one on Luzardo was a long time coming. Shota with K hat trick of Schwarber was nice as well. Little throwing 19 pitches and with only 5 balls was encouraging as well.

    If Luke could solve his control problems by just a bit, he could be a very big addition. He's got A+ stuff, my understanding is, given his size, consistency of pitching mechanics is difficult for him. Is that a correct?

    Wow PCA actually put the ball in play and I missed it! Really wanted to see if he could manage, at least, 20 consecutive swings and misses.
