I don't know about this, despite the shittyness of the last FO, the Caruso trade was actually good. They bought low on Giddey, couldn't get him for such a price now.

New Balance has a line of lacrosse cleats using the word "Freeze", not exactly "Iceman", both imply ice.

Thanks. Read the piece about the Cubs plethora of injuries the other day and the author painted a really dire picture of the Cubs as a whole. Now, I agree a whole horsefeathers ton of things have gone wrong, including Hoyer' drafting of guys - Horton, Conrad, Wiggins - who, have thus far, shown their greatest ability is the ability to remain injured. But, it's probably not as bad as it seems right now. -

For those in the know - within the next few seasons is the Cubs farm system going to pop with pitching? Given the lack of pitching at the big league and AAA level I know this seems like a silly question. Thought, I've read at the lower levels the Cubs have quite a few possibly quality pitching prospects. -
Before learning of the trade I was warming to the idea of Braden Smith being a Bull. I've no doubt Smith will make it to the NBA. Oh well, Kam Jones isn't bad compensation, he's got a chance to stick.

They did get Kam Jones in the trade for 38 so, I guess, a little more than a nothing burger.

Being reading and hearing Seth Jones and Bowen Byram in the same sentence. Don't think Byram can be as worthless and bad as Jones but, to be already mentioned in such comparisons is concerning.

Besides, of course, the money, I wonder if May achieving everything he possibly could at the college level was a factor. He had a once in a coaching lifetime season and it could have been difficult chasing that for the rest of career at the college level.

I have a really strong dislike for Castle, don't appreciate his hack a second, grab and hold style, it's the horsefeathers he learned at UConn or rather, UFoul.

Firstly, I rather be watching hockey but, as the Stanley Cup isn't a 9 or 11 game series, I'm left with the NBA Finals. Don't really have a rooting interest however, I do not understand why the Knicks aren't going after Wembanyama. The Spurs are pounding Brunson, beating the piss out of him and the Knicks aren't responding. Hell, the 90's Pistons even, the Bulls, would have pounded Wembanyama into submission by now.

Carolina kind of started the finals in the same manner as their conference finals. To those with better hockey knowledge than I what are the Hurricanes chances? Vegas appears to playing well, besides the PP, everything is clicking for them.
