  1. The only catch for Michigan is the 4/5 of starting lineup is probably one and done. Of course, they'll probably go out and buy another talented team for 2027.
  2. They didn't have win the rebounding battle just needed to hang in there and not get killed on the boards. First half they did not or could not do so, that was the game. Don't know if Michigan is going to lose again this season, they're awfully good. One strategy could be going at Mara, he's foul prone, let's see if Duke attacks him.
  3. If the Boilers front line can play even to just below even with Michigan' front I like their chances. Don't care about the Michigan hype, for my money, Braden Smith > the Michigan back court and he'll be the difference.
  4. I was thinking about this, thinking perhaps, a run stopper may be more important. My thought is if teams can't rush the ball against the Bears that'll put them in many more passing situations. Given this, and, it's harder to pass block than run block, the Bears will get to the QB. They'll get to the QB with Dexter, Booker, Sweat and say, Hendrickson.
  5. Honestly, I wouldn't give a first for Crosby, a 2nd and a 3rd or 4th possibly. He's too old, coming off knee surgery and not as good as a Parsons or Garrett.
  6. Don't see a team giving the Raiders multiple first rounders for Crosby. If they want to move him they'll be forced to lower the price tag.
  7. Come 2028, I think many here will enjoy the lacrosse 6's format to be employed by the Olympics, fast, constant action, lots of scoring. And, I'll save you the suspense, the Gold Medal game will most likely be USA vs. Canada.
  8. Wrong sport but, same context, I've seen a garbage can make better saves in lacrosse than Swayman last night.
  9. Good to see Hellebuyck in goal today, Swayman was awful yesterday. Don't see a reason Swayman should see any more ice going forward.
  10. Very much remember Eric Hieden performance, it was simply, awesome. Watched every bit of him on the ice. Then, of course beating the Russians, most especially, during heighten Cold War tensions. The USA' victory was akin to a kick in the balls, to me, it was payback for 1972 Olympic basketball.
  11. Saw somewhere, maybe, here, one posted they are fan of curling because it's one of few Winter Olympic events that isn't a disguised attempt to commit suicide. Luge, skeleton, I can see the point.
  12. This is fun...Big Ten Seeding Calculator... defaulting to the favorites leaves the Illini at 16-4, 3 seed, facing the winner of Wisconsin-Maryland/Ohio State. I like it, very much want to see a potentially healthy Illini team face Wisconsin again.
  13. Really hope they can get healthy, a decently healthy Illini team buries both MSU and Wisconsin in the BTT.
  14. That's true. Not too upset, pretty confident the Illini win handily if Stojakovic played, heck, a healthy Illini team would have beat both MSU and Wisconsin.
  15. I assumed Racine street as well but, given Racine runs north-south, Roosevelt road made more sense.
  16. I agree, no way in hell is Crosby on par with Parsons or the younger Mack, I don't believe he's worth a first.
  17. I've more experience with the Ryan than the Kennedy, however, with O'Hare traffic added to the directional part, I can see your point. Being several years removed from driving in Chicago, I'm certain I'd now be one the many who are going north on North and east on Ashland. Got used to the "rush minute" here in Lansing, MI.
  18. They're blabbing about Maxx Crosby on the Score this morning, just don't think he's worth mortgaging the future ala the Packers with Parsons. Multiple first round draft choices for a guy coming off a knee surgery on the wrong side of 25? Hard pass. I'd rather the Bears make some cap space, sign Hendrickson and, take the best edge on the board at 25.
  19. In the sense of a Chicagoan would immediately know Ashland runs North-South and North runs East-West. Reminds me of a stand up comic, name escapes me, talking about how Chicagoan's measure distance. Something along the lines of you tell a Chicagoan some place is so many miles South that person will come back with - "what is that, about 143rd street?".
  20. Awesome, of course, it only works on Chicagoan's.
  21. Purdue-Nebraska tonight, I know many are saying something is off about the Boilers nevertheless, they'll have the best player on the floor in Braden Smith. Which gives the Boilers a chance. I like them tonight, Kaufman-Renn should have his way with an overrated Rink Mast, Smith will find him. Also appears Loyer is out of his shooting slump, if not, I like what Omer Mayer brings to the floor - decent shooter, more athletic than Loyer. And, of course, I'm worried about Wisconsin tonight in Champaign hopefully, we get a well played game from the Illini.
  22. Still believe the Boliers are right there with the Illini, it's Michigan, Illinois/Purdue, small gap, Michigan State, Iowa/Nebraska, rest of the Big Ten. Think Iowa is better than Nebraska, Stiritz is a pro-prospect, he's really good. Glad he's one and done at Iowa.
  23. Is just me or is Patriots receiver room not very good? The blocking difficulties not withstanding, I think a big part of Maye' problem last night was the lack of quality receivers. Looking at the statistics, Diggs had a big year, playoffs, against better competition, not so good.
  24. Same old horsefeathers from Izzo, don't mind the fouls calls on the Illini, most were legitimate calls. Do mind the officials swallowing their whistles on the other end. Fears tripping Mirkovic, later, grabbing him on a drive, Wagler repeatedly fouled on drives, MSU allowed to be more physical on rebounds, etc. Izzo defending Fears in the post game, what an ass.
  25. Oh well, still not too worried about MSU, they'll lose next Friday in Madison. Illini did not play well, missed a ton of open 3's and still had a chance. I'd like to see the Illini get another crack at them in the tournament.
