  1. Physical is one thing, Big Ten teams have been hacking him and getting away with it, how many times did he get hammered going to the hoop today without a call? On the other end, the Illini so much as breath on the flopping Wisconsin guards and the whistle blows. It's a load of horsefeathers.
  2. Totally agree, my point is with this coaching staff there's a far greater chance at success. Think we all had a pretty good idea that Eberflus had no chance at success.
  3. On D, health alone will make a significant difference, Gordon, Johnson and Edwards were all playing hurt. Getting them and Terrell Smith back healthy will go quite a bit towards improving the D. I think most of us are suffering PTSD brought on by previous Bears' coaching ineptitude. It's leading to thoughts on losing this or that player making them worse. Have to drop that line of thinking, Bears actually have a good coaching staff. Whom I'm confident will make the right decisions leading to a successful 2026 season.
  4. With previous coaching staffs yes, it's as bad as it seems. With this coaching staff? No. They'll find viable solutions and the OL will be decent.
  5. I like it, pedigree is there, coming off an MCL injury, signed to a one year prove it deal. They'll add someone in the draft between this and the acquisitions I believe the OL will be fine.
  6. I'm okay with it, don't have to squint too hard to see players such as Byard and Wright regressing. Let some other teams give them a big pay day they won't perform up to.
  7. Duke WR Cooper Barkate is a similar type, was hoping the Bears could look at him in the later rounds. However, I think he's staying in school. There's also that dude from Illinois St., name escapes me, would like the Bears to look at him as a UDFA.
  8. I get it, think McDonald is the closet to Tommie for this draft.
  9. You mean someone who's a run-stuffer? If so, I agree, the biggest problem for the Bears defense last season was their inability to stop teams from running the ball. They couldn't get off the field, had to commit more bodies to stopping the rush and everything went downhill. You keep teams from running the ball, make them one dimensional, you'll get to the QB. Booker, Sweat, Dexter Jr. will all be able to get home. This is why I really like McDonald at 25 for the Bears, he'll occupy space and is the best run defender in the draft.
  10. Plus, such a move is too horsefeathers stupid, even for Poles.
  11. Played at Michigan, can't be all that bad and is quite probably an upgrade over Edmunds.
  12. Indeed, still find it hard to believe someone was dumb/desperate enough to give up 2 firsts for Crosby.
  13. Fears is cheap shot artist. But it's Izzo who's enabling Fears. Izzo can put a stop to this nonsense any time he wishes.
  14. Fears up to the nonsense again: Izzo defending him, I'm so sick of Izzo, what a horsefeathers ass.
  15. On potentially messing up the locker room vibe, might happen, if they let him. I find it hard to believe the other strong personalities on the Bears are going to let Carter do anything of that sort. This is all academic since he'll never be a Bear.
  16. Was really hoping Iowa could pull it out, wanted the Illini, provided they and MSU both win their first round matchups, to face MSU again. Good chance they'll get another crack at Wisconsin which is good as well.
  17. I've been down on them as well. However, 15-5, 24-7, is far removed from mediocre, ordinarily 15-5 would win the Big Ten, it's pretty horsefeathers good. Today Maryland was allowed to foul Wagler on every possession, grabbing, holding, hand checking, you name it. While Thomas did foul out he committed far more than 5 fouls, don't think this kind of hacking of Wagler is going to be allowed in the tournament. They also shot terrible from 3 again today, that makes the last 4 where they've been awful. That's not going to continue.
  18. Are you referring to Shemar Turner? If so, Texas A&M is in the SEC no?
  19. I don't think Poles is going to meet the Raiders asking price, nobody will. Now, if he can get the Raiders to take less well, then, I'd be interested. And by less, not a even a first maybe, some combination of mid round picks.
  20. I thought if Michigan has a weakness it would be the back court. Cason being out certainly doesn't help. I think they'll be fine but, as you know, any weakness has a way of showing up in the tournament. Take the Illini, they'll may be okay until the face a team with a quick PG and a couple of good shooters, in which case, they're toast.
  21. Cason has to be a tremendous loss, thought he came up big vs. MSU and was definitely a factor vs. Illinois. Gayle can be good, he's capable.
  22. Here's something interesting - Aggregate 2026 NBA Mock Draft 4.0: Pre-March Madness rankings - Wagler is probably one and done for Illinois. Think there's a better than average chance Mara and Johnson are likewise for Michigan. By the way, Gayle is listed as a SR, was he granted another year of eligibility?
  23. Andrej was certainly not checked-out last night, sounds like Brad light a fire under his ass in practice. I'll give Brad credit for that, a checked-in Andrej does make this Illini team a lot more dangerous.
  24. I'm confident Johnson and company will find viable solutions to both LT and C. Strange feeling for a Bears fan.
  25. Does suck but, at least it's well before the season and I wish Dalman well. Guess they'll be looking at drafting a center on day 3?
