  1. Another miss, had Burden, come on Caleb.
  2. TBH, if Moore doesn't slip it's probably a TD.
  3. Should have run the ball, no way GB stops them, just don't understand.
  4. Moving the ball very easily until that call, if Ben can get out of his own way this could get interesting.
  5. I agree, why not go cover zero, put 7 on the line and blitz like crazy?
  6. I don't think it's a lack of effort, Jaylon' no where near 100%, I'd say closer to 50% at best. I'm not certain Edmunds is 100% neither nor is Jarrett.
  7. Yeah, can take some comfort that's there's a real good chance the Packers will get blasted by the Seahawks. And, this the start, regardless of the outcome of this game, the Packers dominance is over, I'm certain of this.
  8. I knew McManus was going to miss, noodle leg, not that'll it matter.
  9. I wouldn't say shut down, Bears have receivers open Caleb' has missed them, it's more the Bears can't get out of their own way.
  10. An absolutely perfect analogy, just perfect. As with most bullpens and NFL defenses, in addition to talent, health might be the biggest predictor of success. Look around the NFL, most of the successful defenses managed to stay relatively healthy or, at least, the key players managed to stay healthy. A Bears defense with, say, a healthy Edwards, Edmunds, Gordon, Stevenson and Johnson would have fared better and probably been close to average.
  11. It's so Bears that Poles managed to fix the hardest parts - HC, QB and offense - before, fixing, in my opinion, the easiest parts - defense. In theory, Poles should be able to repair the defense enough to achieve normality. With what the Bears are going to be on offense all they'll need is a defense that isn't sieve it is now.
  12. Thought he was a lock prior to this season, I'm with you in that he's far more deserving than Eli.
  13. Noticed throughout the game they were, for an extra point, barely making them, Considering the blocked FG, after the OT TD, I thought oh horsefeathers, maybe, they should go for two.
  14. Should have gone for it in the fourth, with the way their offense was cooking they had a real good chance.
  15. Edwards, Edmunds and Johnson did not come back 100%, they're doing what they can, Jarrett had his knee scoped in the summer, no way he started 100% and certainly isn't healthier now. Read something about Sweat playing hurt for most of the season again. The tackling issues are very apparent, on numerous occasions yesterday they Gibbs or Montgomery strung out with more defenders than blockers and still couldn't limit their gains.
  16. I agree, just need to get this one.
  17. Illinois State vs. Montana State for the FCS Championship tonight. Illinois State has a receiver, Daniel Sobkowicz, he'll get some camp invites, an Adam Thielen, Cooper Kupp type, think he's taller than both of them, has a good chance to catch on somewhere. I'd like the Bears to take a look at him as a UDFA next camp.
  18. With an improving offense and a better defense I don't care how potentially tough or easy the schedule may be.
  19. So, come Saturday, it'll be a month since they had a three and out, that's really bad. If the Bears win the toss on Saturday they should take the ball, if not, they almost surely will be down by 3 or 7 on their first possession. That's been a big part of the problem with the Packers always playing from behind.
  20. Defense is too beat up and terrible for winning now to happen. They may get by the Packers and that'll be it, at some point the defense will need to make a stop and this current defense is incapable. Speaking of the defense, does anyone know the last time it forced a three and out? Was it the game against Cleveland?
  21. Win or lose the Bears have been playing with house money since they clinched a winning season. To be honest I'm more excited about 2026. Caleb and the offense, with this season under their belts, are going nuclear in 2026, I've no doubt. I believe the Bears will able to fix the defense and, at least, get it to an average level defense coupling it with an overpowering offense, that'll translate to double digit wins.
  22. Most definitely, Ben has fallen into some rookie mistakes, I believe he'll learn and come out better.
  23. I agree he's made some bad decisions and if you asked him, he'd probably agree. But, bad decisions becoming prevalent? That's a bit of an exaggeration, it's not like we're talking Matt Eberflus here.
  24. I was thinking along the same lines, part of a learning curve. When all is said and done I've no doubt Ben will be amongst the best Bears HC of all time.
  25. I'm rooting for the Ravens, not just to see Rodgers lose but, also, to disappoint his number one all time apologist and fan Collinsworth.
