  1. Don't know if I'm going to waste anymore rooting interest on them. Same story with Underwood' teams, talented, under performing, several losses to meddling teams, will probably make the tournament and win a game. Then, in the next round, get blown away by a higher seeded team. I know getting in every year increases your chances of the match up dominoes falling in your favor. But, even in favorable match ups, I'm not certain Underwood can deliver. He'll find some way to horsefeathers it up, a mysterious illness, some fluky injuries or letting some scrub off the bench torch them. Next year, rinse and repeat.
  2. Think there's a chance it could win and in for the Lions only, Bears will have clinched. Now, wouldn't that be juicy and ironic? Talk about playing with house money.
  3. I'm more concerned about Burden hopefully, he'll be good to go by Saturday. Just leave Rome on the shelf preparing for the playoffs.
  4. As he was walking off the field, reminded me of Corey Patterson tearing his ACL and managing to walk off the field.
  5. Hope Parsons isn't significantly hurt, want the Bears to beat the Packers with that dipshit playing. I very much enjoyed the look of exhaustion on his face when the Bears OL was pounding him and the Packers.
  6. From a game perspective, two meaningless sacks for Garrett and, as you said, he really wasn't much else of a factor. Gives me confidence they'll handle Parsons as well next week.
  7. It's not as if Gordon was a big loss this season, hard to be when he's played 12 quarters. They've effectively played the whole season without him, why change?
  8. They've got to look towards replacing him, definitely look at a pick in the next draft.
  9. Illini lost, really can't come away saying Nebraska is that good, a whole host of clueless defense on the Illini' part. Coupled with an early lack of aggression lead to this loss. Think Nebraska is one of those early paper tigers that everyone overrates, as the season progresses, they'll regress.
  10. Illinois hosts Nebraska today, watching some of the previews seems as if the Illini shouldn't show up today. Line is Illini -8.5, ESPN analytics has them at 77% to win and, wouldn't know it from the way these guys are talking about Nebraska. You'd think it was the other way around. I believe Stojakovic is going to feast, Wisconsin does not have anyone his size who can get to hoop. As a result, Nebraska was able to make the Badgers settle for 3's, don't think the Illini will. They'll attack the basket.
  11. I don't get it, don't Bowls mean revenue and more practice time? From a football' team perspective what's not to like?
  12. It's the same idea as putting latex gloves, then gloves on your hands. Works for keeping one's hands warm, I suspect same will work for the feet.
  13. Saw a video, jumping trying to high-five a fan, lands and something happened to his, I believe, right leg. Wonder if was a delayed injury situation? Is that possible?
  14. Sometimes I believe Big Ten officials think fans are there to see them blow their whistles.
  15. So Indiana may have lost one it's best DL and pass rushers to a post championship game injury?
  16. Spelling, literacy not included.
  17. Completely agree, think that'll improve quite a bit next season, once Caleb gets the CP into the mid to high 60's , the numbers are going to explode.
  18. Add the receivers being in the correct place, it's not all on Caleb.
  19. Caleb Williams has 20 TD passes, the Browns offense has 23 TD's.
  20. Give me a horsefeathers break - https://www.yardbarker.com/nfl/articles/matt_lafleur_throws_shade_at_referees_over_their_treatment_of_micah_parsons/s1_127_43174663 Officiating was just fine when Mack was getting held on every down by Bulaga and it was never called.
  21. He does himself a disservice by speaking, comes off as an elite idiot.
  22. That's what has me so optimistic, Mitch and Justin were/are incapable in that area and it's not fixable. Caleb' problems aren't on the mental side and are all fixable. It's plainly visible in film studies, Caleb quickly going through progressions, manipulating defenders with his eyes, it's only a matter of time before the mechanical part comes along.
  23. Maybe, a little more consistency? Right now Love, Burrow, Stafford and other good QB don't have halves where they missed on nearly every throw. I understand it's not all on Caleb, the receivers also deserve a fair amount of criticism, often times Caleb makes the correct read and throw but, they're in the wrong place. Passing game is still very much in the developmental stage and it's looking as if it's going to take a whole season to develop.
  24. Got it. But Alabama beating OU, then IU, is just the kind of horsefeathers I could see happening.
  25. If they manage to past Oklahoma, I'd be very concerned about Alabama. What ever reasons they made into the bracket not withstanding, it's still a team with a plethora of NFL talent including a good QB.
