1 run directly attributed to umpire incompetence

The infield fly rule is only called when a defender is camped under the ball. That didn't happen.

No it is not, and the ball bounced 3 feet away from two players.  It is 1000% incorrect to not call it

Haven't watched past the 1st of either of the first two game. I'm tempted to turn this one off already before a 78mph looper with an xOBP of like .230 drops in for a hit and scores Yelich.

This scenario seems quaint now.

That sets up a weird situation. If we want to claim that it wasn't "ordinary effort" to make that play, all infielders should do is pretend they can't see it in the future and get a free double play.

The rule clearly states that the call is only made when the play can be made with ordinary effort. Looking up at the sun and then sprinting to the spot where the ball falls is not ordinary effort. But keep on keeping on.

Swanson should of went straight to 2B on that pop up instead of running all the way in, same with PCA, don't know what he was doing out there besides watching.

Should of had the force out at 2B easily on that

Now we score 6 horsefeathers runs just like they did in game 1, right? Right???

Hypothetically, the Cubs should pound Priester into the ground based on matchups and metrics.

So, I'll predict he throws 7 shutout innings.

Kelly made it to a step from the ball on a light jog

They had to sprint to the spot that was 30 feet away from three defenders for a ball that was in the air for 6 seconds?

Did you watch the play? Thats what the catcher and 2B were doing.
