  1. Seiya is day to day. That's good.news at least.
  2. How long can a SP like the Miz go throwing 100-105.mph until their arm explodes? A shame really.
  3. Does Cohen purposefully try to make his voice sound deeper?
  4. Part of me wants to see how Counsell reacts if they lose this game. Could burn the stadium down.
  5. True, I'm thinking more familiarity for him.
  6. If I were Happ I wouldn't waive the NTC so I could stay at Wrigley to try to keep my hitting and fielding numbers as high as possible before FA.
  7. Not scoring runs off the worst pitching staff in baseball and at Coors is a new low for this team. Rockies have the worst record in MLB and they lost the first 2 games and could get swept. Incredible.
  8. I think they should trade from their minor league prospects. This team isn't good enough to weaken its MLB roster to improve somewhere else. They'll also reload on some prospects if Happ/Seiya walk, or the team sells off at deadline. Plus they'll likely have openings to fill in the OF next year.
  9. Agree. Why sell low anyways? Hopefully he's just in a bad slump and needs to make some adjustments. I'm not really worried yet about any hitter on this team. A month or 2 isn't a huge sample and we've seen this team go into long hitting slumps before.
  10. Did anyone see The Jag field any balls? How did he look?
  11. I'm hopeful Bregman will come around. He tends to start slower and finish strong anyways (not this slow). And it's not like he was ever a great hitter outside the sign-stealing years. He's been basically Ian Happ with better contact, so good for 25 HR.
  12. Things could be worse. We could be the Jays, Tigers, Mets, or Red Sox. All under .500
  13. Pedro Ramirez has only a 4% K% in his 25 PA, which is pretty impressive so far.
  14. Maybe with Hoyer's Red Sox connections we can unthaw the cryogenically frozen head of Ted Williams (true story) and he can figure out this mess.
  15. I don't understand how an offense with mostly good hitters can roll over completely limp for a solid month every year.
  16. If makes anyone feel any better, Bregman is worth more WAR than Tucker so far.
  17. Bregman is doing ok with the exit velos and hard hit%, he's just not pulling hard hit balls in the air for HR like he has in his other years. His flyball% and GB/FB ratio are the worst of his career, so he's hitting more balls on the ground then ever and more liners rather than FB. Hopefully he gets his power stroke down soon. The stats that compare HR by venue don't say the ballpark is the issue.
  18. I don't think the issue is effort with these guys. They seem like diligent workers and pros. If you can't hit a curveball or you're throwing 91mph over the heart of the plate what's to be done? If you suck you suck.
  19. What's Tallion's trade value on baseballtradevalues.com/ ?
  20. His command in the zone was awful today. Let's hope it's mostly rust. This rotation straight up needs some good fortune the rest of this year or we're screwed.
